ABOUT BELOW DECK MEDITERRANEAN:
Bravo Media sails through the French Riviera in a new season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sandy may be navigating the “Sirocco” mega yacht again, but she brings a new level of leadership in season four. With high expectations, she has no tolerance for anything short of perfection and will take drastic measures if the crew can’t deliver. Hannah, looking to right her wrongs from last season, is hoping for smooth sailing with a strong interior crew. But will choppy waters threaten her redemption? Mila, classically trained in French culinary cuisine, becomes the first female chef in franchise history, but after a bout with food poisoning right as the first charter guests are set to arrive, she’ll have her work cut out for her. Aesha, coping with a difficult past and using humor to get through tough times, is ready to hit the high seas and get another charter under her belt. Anastasia, born in the Republic of Georgia, has a strong sense of pride in her work ethic which takes her on an unexpected journey. João is looking for a fresh start and is laser focused on being the best Bosun for the crew, but not everyone is on board. Colin, feeling homesick, quickly finds himself on the outs after trying to connect with the new deck crew. Travis after a few mishaps begins to question leadership, however, it’s his “work hard, play hard” mentality that comes into question by the rest of the crew. Jack ruffles feathers when the crew notices he’s putting more effort into pursuing a crew member than his actual job.

@@Ena48145Jack was Jack. Just a true blue (or maybe red 🤣 ⚽️) Scouser. The problem was that boatmances (and summer camps flings and other brief, intense romances in a closed environment on a timer) aren’t genuine. 99% of the time, the parties are going back to resume the life and relationships they had at home. From what she said, I think Alesha’s feelings were hurt, and she was angry that she’d gone to the trouble and expense to go meet him in the UK, but she wasn’t surprised.

Maybe Sandy should have remembered Hannah’s character when she treated anxiety like being a crack addict. I am not saying Hannah didn’t break a Maritime law only that they portrayed her anxiety in a negative light when people are already struggling with their mental health.

Agreed. I thought the way they made her out to be some sort of drug addict was disgusting. If Sandy had to let her go, fine, but it did not need to be portrayed in this light. This is why people who suffer with mental health issues can't/don't talk about it and do the best they can to hide it. They know they will be judged. There are tons of people capable of properly taking anxiety medication and Hannah showed zero signs of abusing her medication. I get Maritime laws are different, but the way they made it look was completely unnecessary.

What I thought was so interesting was that this very same thing happened like second season with Capt Lee and Kat when she had been drinking but lied because the guest were sexually harassing her and said she took a larger amount of her medication. They had a 1:1 about it. I thought he handled that really well and professionally. I don’t really like Capt Sandy and how she handles personal situations with crew. I though it was really slimy of Malia to take a picture of the stuff and send to Capt Sandy. I think she should of come to Hannah and told her to go to Sandy and then her involvement should have ended there. It was almost like Malia was convincing Sandy of Maritime law when they were talking in the crew mess. The decision to let her go I think was right, but it was handled unprofessionally.

When the alarm went off these two drinks laughing as an alarm is going off. Travis irresponsibility and laziness. Oh that’s the engineers issue. Well how do you know what the alarm is! Could be toxic gas. And him telling Sandy he doesn’t drink on board sue. An alarm goes off you spring into action.Period. Not this is not my job baloney. So is something really bad was happening maybe it’s nobody’s job to notify them to get off the boat because of danger. Travis gas deep anger issues as most drunks do. Jack film glam guy.

Shukri Habiba - good point. Perhaps a side story for show. It seemed ridiculous that these two would be held responsible for a sump pump needing repair. (Or whatever it's called). I'd be annoyed too if I was in their position. Why couldn't Sandy and Joao take care of it? (Being the higher ups)

I don’t think it was about them handling it per se, I think it was about them not even acknowledging the alarm. Regardless if they were “off duty” when a loud repetitive noise is occurring, that doesn’t typically occur, most people would at least inquire about what was causing it.

Liam Kibby - Yes, you have a point. Again, editing makes it look as though he rarely gets a proper break, so I would complain that I am being stuck doing part of the chef's job, as well as deck work. I know Jack makes work for the others, but I got the impression Travis knows what to do and gets it done.
