I admire both of these characters SO MUCH. One has probably dyslexia but still so talented that his experiences made him the best surgeon of the century, and the other has her aort vessel damaged and has slight chance to live a long life but still both of them are trying so hard to hold on to life. UGH I NEED TO SEE THEM AGAIN IN A SECOND SEASON

Jack Dawkins: Devises a revolutionary surgical method to save the woman he loves, breaks into her house, carries her out of the house while holding everyone who would stop him at gunpoint, performs the surgery on her while a cop holds a gun to his head, then runs back to the hospital after he is arrested to make sure she lived instead of escaping. Obsessed with this show! Literally discovered it last night, and I have, as of now, finished all 8 episodes! Very addicting and well executed, honestly! So much fun! There isn't much BS. It gives you exactly what you want as a viewer. And ofc Thomas delivers as always! I need a season 2 STAT!

may I just say that this is one of the most beautifully edited couples storylines that I've ever seen. I had to double check that this wasn't an official edit posted by the company producing it, though this is way better than even the officially put together couples cuts I've seen. so so so impressed, its just artfully & gorgeously done. you have a gift!

This pairing reminds me of platons symposium in which one of his characters describes humans as spherical beings with four arms and legs. They were separated into two humans as we know today and since then searching for the other half to feel whole again... I can see them as soulmates with their similarities in interests and sympathy for each other just desperate to be one again

I like to think this happened at one point. There were some people who had money, taking hygiene seriously and helping those that could help other like this or make it to where the patients would be ok. I forget which doctor suggested bedside mannar after a surgery but that was also proven to help with patients recovery. Im sure that was a reason why womeon could be part of the medical field. Medical history is so interesting and its sad that colleges wont pay for peoole to go into the medical field. Its also sad how very little progress weve come to care for people that need medical attention over others.

I know that it’s a very small possibility of a second series but if there was this is what I expected will happen. Jack had to run away and then spent the next couple of years trying to get back to Bell, eventually he gets back to her and discovers she had a son who he later finds out is his, they will then build a hospital together. Or he spends years trying to get back to her to discover she unfortunately died but he has a son who lives with his grandparents, Jack then fights to get his son back and in doing so has to go back to crime to afford the court and lawyer but in the end couldn’t afford one so Fagin steps in and becomes his lawyer and eventually gets his son back.

I just wanna say this vid is the reason I watched the show because I had to see their story and the whole story and man if I hadn’t watched this video I would’ve missed out on the greatest love stories everrrrr and sure it kinda spoiled the ending a little bit but that’s ok! Also I require a season 2 if it’s gonna end like that!

I started this series last night and finished it today and my heart WEEPS... equal parts with joy and with dread 😩😩😩 I loved this series so much and while it is perfect as an 8 episode series, I so desperately need a season 2. I need to see Belle's women's hospital and what other medical marvels the two of them can achieve together 😩😩 I want them to travel the world together to meet and inspire and educate other surgeons and medical professions, I want them to see the dancing dragons together 😩😩

Does anyone know any other series with characters with similar characteristics and/or chemistry? This series and the kdrama Vagabond have my entire heart, and I just can’t remember being so invested in any other couple as much as in these two series. The last scene of the show? Spoilers: 😅 Jack is dragged to prison after he gets to see Belle will live. He talks to Fagin in the prison, and they both make up with each other (there's this whole story about a heist. You have to watch the show to understand it). Fagin tells him that he has pardon with him, so he'll be released soon. The last dialogue indicates that Fagins and Jack are going to do more heists. End credits.

unless this series becomes a big success and a season 2 would make Disney and Hulu loads of money, there likely won't be a season 2. the show was based off of a book so if they even made a second season it would have to be made solely from scratch 😭😭 but I still want it to happen BECAUSE THE ENDING IS SO FRUSTRATING 💀✋

According to Wiki, this show takes place in 1850s. And if you look at the IMDb page, in the "goofs", it says that Jack was using a clipboard that wasn't invented until 1908 😅
