Jack meets the gang in his dressing room on the set of "Charley's Aunt", a film version of the classic play. The marriage of Phil Harris and Alice Faye is announced on this episode. Frank Nelson plays the make-up man. www.otrcomedy.com
Phil and Alice go on to fifty years plus of happiness not to mention seven years of the only radio show that gives me as big a laugh as Jack Benny's that gives this hilarious episode a touch of genuine warmth as well as a big laugh
The radio shows are my favorite when I drive long distances or when I am painting at my house. I wish I could buy a version without Dennis Day’s singing and the Jello/cigarette commercials.
@@label1877 the commercials amuse me and the music though dated gives it an historical setting some of the episodes on this channel are so edited but I don't think they are identified in the description as such
john tabler I was not aware there are edited versions, I will find them. On second thought, most of the commercials are good. But the singing has to go.
