As a JT fan, what a fighter Jack is 👏 fair play to the boy he came and he fought his heart out again. I thought JT was going to dominate this fight but fair play to Jack. At the end of the day it’s only a fight and aslong as both fighters get back to their family’s safe and well then that is all that matters, what a fight lads 👏
I was slightly happy that Jack won, but Josh looked much better than I expected. I dont eventthink he should bother moving up to ww, he looked solid and finished strong.
@@jamesdykes2968 yeh mate I thought he came into the fight, definitely think he is a bit old now and past his prime. I obviously wanted JT to win but Jack surprised me a lot and to be honest I actually quite like Jack now, great fighter and humble.
For those who think Taylor did enough to earn a draw, you have to remember that a boxing match is not won by simply pressing the fight and pressuring the other fighter. A boxing match is won by landing more punches and more impactful punches on the opposition.
Idk what fight u watched but he was connecting less big shots mean nothing if u do nothing with them taylor got robbed of what should have been a slipt decision. Fact
unfortunately subriel would be the most logical fight next, teo would be a good matching but if teo beats claggett I doubt he would want another non unification fight especially against another guy that fights on the back foot but he deserves a good rest a some heavy promo
Catteral was picking him off at ease and won the fight comfortably, superb boxing off the back foot. Watching it back I could only give Taylor 3 rounds that he clearly won, whereas Catteral won 6 rounds clearly. The other 3 rounds were very close and subjective. From that any score from 117-111 to 114-114 would be justifiably because of the close rounds that could go either way, so no corruption. But imo overall Catteral landed more and did more damage with slick combinations and deserved the win.
Good win for Jack. Want to see him in a world title fight next. He’s got Josh Taylor’s number, 3rd fight not needed. Don’t see Josh ever being able to work out how to beat Jack. Not all Scotsmen have blind loyalty to Josh Taylor. We support all British fighters and that includes Jack Catterall. We’re behind him whatever fight comes next. Needs to be for a belt. He deserves it and is still unbeaten in most eyes
don’t know where people are getting draw or too wide from?.. specially DAZN judges at end saying it was even??? Is it cause of punches landed? Catterall completely outboxed him and made Taylor look average .. class he is
@@peep5118Precisely this, they were literally just pulling it out their ass whenever asked. I mean Andy Lee after the 11th round said I have Taylor just ahead. By the end of the 12th he said I've just got it for Catterall. With no knockdown in the 12th, how the f*** is that even possible. It was comfortably an 8-4 fight to Catterall.
I scored the fight impartially and had Taylor winning by one round. He was the more aggressive come forward fighter out of the both of them. Let's have the trilogy.

Way too much was made of thr first fight leading into this. Josh taylor would have needed to drop him every round to get a draw with the narrative around it. Dazn commentators were so bias, english crowd, 3 english judges. Taylor outlanding him in 7 rounds (compubox stats) clearly. Poor decisions, but people feel its "fair" because of the past
Taylor constantly pressuring him every round and Jack taking advantage of it because Jack is a very smart fighter and was the best fight iv Seen in a long time but for me Taylor dominated that fight every round Taylor was the one every round putting the pressure on Jack was always the one near the rope but his defence is bang on, I’d call a draw at best but obviously will be a trilogy because Eddie is all money but Taylor did enough this fight and I think catteral took 1st fight, Taylor was mint this fight
Didn't like how Jack Sat back second half of fight not good enough if he wants to be a world champ. He's definitely got the heavy hand's out the both of them would like to seen Josh win
I think Catterall dominated the fight BUT I'm not sure he dominated the rounds. Think he lost at least four rounds, probably five. Taylor threw a lot of good body shots and it's as if they weren't scored. Anyway, the correct winner but wide. I hope the judges weren't told to favour Catterall's work to make up for the first fight.
Good fight well done to both but tbh I thibk Jack is a very good fighter but he will get beaten by Lopez or Haney. Maybe he bets matias or cruz but he seriously needs to work on his endurance coz he was gassing in the 2nd half of the fight and at elite level he'll get found out.
I think Jack will have real problems with the elite...I can't see him holding off Matias or Teo, if he is focused. I will have to see him against someone not named Josh Taylor.
I had Jack 5-1 up at the half way mark but all square at rounds 10 then gave them one each in the 11th n 12th, i wanted him to win glade he got the decision.
Why have trilogies got to be fought so close together these days? A trilogy should happen over the course of a whole career unless their the two last men standing and there's nowhere else for either fighter to go. There are too many other contenders for the crown. Try and clear out the rest of the division(s) then come back together either both at the top or as a grudge match later on if the former doesn't happen.
Jack should be undisputed champ, it's shite for him that he's not. He won the 2 fights so fair play to him & he should go for belts now. Maybe rematch taylor after he's world champ
Great win by Jack again. He cruised the first 6 rounds and they split the last 6. Taylor made a much better effort than the first fight. Continues to show what a corrupt robbery the first was. Ian John-Lewis is still downgraded as a ref because of that.

I had it about 7-5, the scores were a bit harsh to Josh but I'm convinced he did the better work and landed the cleaner more effective punches. I think he started pretty aggressively and he fatigued around the middle of the fight. Josh won a lot of those later rounds just by being more active and pressing the fight.
@@user-wm1kk8un4i Yeah Catterall landed the better punches throughout he just slowed down in the second half of the fight and gave some rounds away because he wasn't active.
Jack won by a few rounds and also he hurt Taylor badly a few times too not once did Jack ever look hurt or in trouble. Clearly won.....weirdly I thought he won the first one even more convincingly but thats irrelevant now.
Jack def won that fight landed the better quality and more damaging shots throughout the fight and was the busier fighter who dis the better work the correct decision was made.
Catterall is skilled no doubt about it, and he will be a nightmare for anyone in the weight, his style is absolutely awful to watch tho! He fights very very negatively like a wounded animal never fully committing to anything, i watched the Linares fight and i was impressed, but i couldn't watch him fight again just hasn't got any appeal.
