i made this from the video, and tried the TGIF videos on YT. both being great. - I would recommend the following - = use onions chopped and caramelized. use fresh garlic with olive oil, cooked in the oven until soft and mushy - paste, i used a cherry smoke essence with mine - and organic honey with pineapple juice and pineapple pulp cooked in the oven with a bit of cumin, salt and pepper until you have a nice grill on there. - the complexity and the palate is so much more flavorful. made a home made Teryiake Sauce as my base. omit the balsamic.
I'm going to make this today to go with a double rack of ribs I have on my kettle. Low and slow between 270º-300º range till done. (4-6 hours). All I need is that soundtrack to put me into the "ULTRA CHEF" BBQ sauce building trance. lol. (loved it) Thank you for sharing this recipe CHEF, cheers from the Pacific Northwest!!
UPDATE: I made the sauce!! I tweaked it slightly because I added some cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper. Because of the added heat I added some sweetness. Some real barrel aged maple syrup. WOW! Thank you for posting this recipe!! It's killer!! Try it folks, it's delicious.
I'm not a Jack Daniels drinker. Given that, I absolutely love their sauce. Original or Sweet & Spicy - top notch. Thanks for posting this recipe, will definitely give it a try.
Is this recipe written down somewhere? Looks good but i keep trying to pause it on the ingredient amounts and i am not quick enough 😅 old people problems lol

How long does it last before it spoils and I have it to throw it away?
Looks great and I will try this for quarantine new years cheat meal=) I have few questions, is it on high med or low heat and should I follow the exact order in which you add new stuff in? Can I just put them all ?
I’m sure this is a great bbq sauce, but my problem with all bbq sauces is the amount of sugar in them. There needs to be a sugar substitute that would work, stevia or erythratol.
