@jack adore you. Thank you. You keep levity in my heart and strengthen my resolve every day, just Knowing you're out there doing what you do. I've been deceived so many times. I only pray you're the real deal.
The part Min 23 onwards is the most importantly As a poet, it’s exactly what happens. I write very unique sentences and structures and those I put into ChatGPT and ChatGPT tells me the essence of my poem. It creates us an image about my poem and therefore it enters the global consciousness and that’s what I see exactly as something very dangerous in a very poetic form it creates an amalgamation of billions of mines. Let’s assume all of them would be poets then what would happen? So this is very epic and is something very important to understand and consider
Poet as well. Years ago someone sent me artwork that was generated from using my words to “create” it. What is stealing in modern times? This is a question each must answer for theirselves. More importantly, we MUST consider others. Humanity needs it.
Great conversation… The only thing I would add is that you could pick any point in Bitcoins price history and go back four years and the price has increased. Therefore, you could safely say that four years is the minimum duration that you should look to hold Bitcoin if you are new to it but considering buying some.
Yeah but the question may then arise what to do when you want to use it as a currency. Many people still believe that it can become possible at some point. Then how to behave, wait these 5 years until it stabilizes, or use it even now but in some specific manner ?
@@FreakyStyleytobby It probably won’t be used as a currency by the masses until it is more painful to hold dollars than Bitcoin. Probably not in our lifetimes. Im fine with that, the future is bright for my children and grandchildren.
my main question to Jack is, While I agree with the ideas - how do we prevent bad actors like bad governments, or AI from exploiting this "permissionless" social media with fake accounts? I watched the whole video, but I feel like I still dont have an answer.
@@tdombui like instead of being Zuckerberg, a tech super overlord, and instead of being Prigozhin / Eric Prince, private military shoguns, he’s doing this third way where he’s at least exploring the possibility of a future which consists of freedom and self sovereignty… even if I disagree with a lot of what he’s saying and in the end I view him as an idealist unable to really contemplate all of the factors at play. Yea hope that answers the question.
Agree with pretty much everything here. But, wondering how open source AI helps when Jack also recognizes that the companies building proprietary AI don’t even know the answer to why their AI reacts in a given scenario.
What he said about these single points leading corporations as being weak and easily manipulated by corrupt government would apply to being president IMHO, if you are president you're shackled & controlled in many ways we probably can't see as well.
30:10 The idea "don't trust, verify" is the main driver of this video in my opinion, even though I trust this guy a lot after the radical change on a global scale that he made under the noses of several billionaires in the last decade so that vulnerable social groups could empower themselves and have autonomy.
What’s weird is that USD has scam aspects behind it but we still use it as a currency so your argument about Bitcoin vs other coins is a nonstarter. If we’re talking about Bitcoin as a currency not store of value which would, for the kids, equate it to gold or a painting or a rari.
Like every good warrior woman, like every compassionate strong hearted woman, like every true mother left on the planet... I let my dad stay safely inside and the dogs are in the back. No one else is going to be endangered. And no one gets through me to them.
There’s some RU-vid ahh comments in this comment section like yeah Adamtheman1973 you sure do know more about platforms than the guy who’s created multiple successful ones
As I continue to listen, I am getting very scared about how little or next to nothing I know about any of this. Where and how can I educate myself about all if this?
Matthew Kratter on RU-vid, The Sovereign Individual, The price of tomorrow, and many more. Just start researching Bitcoin and you will fall down the rabbit hole.
I am listening to every word, and I still dont understand what Bit Coin or Nostr is. And, I know that there older generations with even less knowledge about this. If it is all money/BitCoin or Nostr in cyberspace or in the computer, cant hackers get access to it? I feel so dummb about this?
He literally is speaking from experience lol When he didn’t comply to censorship in countries like India , Nigeria , Turkey they threatened him by saying they would raid the home of his employees
Dude needs to get over bitcoin. Even if it was bitcoin tech, you'd use a blank ledger. You don't switch monetary systems to a commodity that people already own all of -- instead, you aim for some sort of continuity by exchanging one currency for another like they did with the Euro. Once that has process has occurred you can open it up to other currencies. The other issue with bitcoin is the tech. There's no putting 7000 transactions per second (VISA's throughput upper limit) on bitcoin, so people won't be using that at the grocery store. I'm all for decentralizing currency but bitcoin is the least important puzzle piece.
@@notnotjake twitter was the most censored platform you don't know that? if something didn't fit the woke narrative it was marked as biggotry or banned
For me this was the silicon valley i recall, quirky technical folks, dreaming of better things for utopian ideals. Not what we have today which is gold diggers funded by an infinite load of capital from venture capitalists where the goal is to get rich and get out.
You do not need “permission” to do anything. The fact you think it’s required means you’ve already absolved yourself of it. The problem lies in the codification of behaviour.
