I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who stuck with me while I've taken a break from uploading here on RU-vid. As many of you might know, I took a pretty long break from RU-vid because being a RU-vidr was having a negative impact on my mental health. At the moment, I'm still struggling with that and still deciding how I want to move forward with my channel. Was very excited to see this upload. I always like seeing your take on things from a Sabres fans perspective. Hope to see more soon but you do what you gotta do! Thanks for sharing this experience with us either way.

Welcome back Mel! Sometimes you just need to take a break and you deserve it. This was the biggest W of the season. I don’t care if they lose the rest of the games this season. As far as Jack goes. His true colours came out in that post game. I can’t imagine what the PR person for Vegas was thinking. He could have kept it civil, nice and sweet, but he went off. So different from his interview before the game. He chose to be petty, obviously the boo’s got to him. Just a bitter child. He is now public enemy #1 in Buffalo. If the NHL was smart they would have the Sabres home opener next year against Vegas. We won the trade. We have 2 guys that WANT to be here. I hope Vegas doesn’t make the playoffs. Vegas can have him, good luck.

Welcome back Melody! I've been praying for you! Thank you to you and your friends for reading my comments a few months ago about mental health and safety! I finally got to travel again to see the Rangers play! I was in Buffalo in December and had a blast! My Dad and I couldn't get enough of the Niagara Falls we had to go twice! The game was a relief and the Arena was beautiful! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you, but what an amazing Area it was to visit!

So happy to have you back Melody! I was definitely thinking of you during the Bills playoff games. I'm glad you took time for yourself and that you're doing better mentally!

It's so unfortunate that he decided to do what he did in the post game interview. Just a complete lack of maturity. He had the opportunity to recognize the fans that loved him for so many years. Instead he took what was a disconnect with management and put that on the fans. Very low class move. As a Leafs fan, I was so happy to see Tuch and Krebs score. Go Sabres!

Welcome back Mel! Even if it is only once in awhile, it seems like they are moving in the right direction with the youth. Tuch and Krebs are two players you can build around, and once you can get a solid goaltender and not play musical chairs, then you guys will be on your way.

YAAAS MEL WHAT A RETURN! God that was an amazing video and crazy how even non Buffalo fans like myself watched that game and could feel how incredible the fans had to be feeling watching their returns go out and there and score. In such a satisfying end, and good guy Anderson getting his 300th win. Can only imagine how much fun you guys must have had. As you said, you could not have asked for a more perfect outcome. Glad your fan base finally got a giant win, and Vegas is falling out of the playoffs now which is crazy!hope they stay out so the oilers are in. Great game and Tuch is awesome! Same with krebs. Post game was pretty sad. Buffalo seems a hell of a lot better off without him

Good to see you back on RU-vid Mel. You are a lot more than entertaining and I've missed your commentary, a lot. With Tuch and Dahlin the Sabers are not a tough team team to root for anymore. They will be ok, that I'm sure of and I hope you and the Saber faithful eventually get rewarded with Lord Stanley's Cup. When it finally happens after years of being a die hard fan, it's one the best feelings in the world (outside of the real life stuff of course). It happened to my hockey team and baseball team after ages of waiting. Enjoy yourself! Life is too short not too.

I'm a Kings fan, but remember liking your videos. Was kind of wondering about your thoughts on seeing Eichel challenging for the Cup. Was looking for your reaction when Buffalo smoked the Kings for 9 goals earlier in the season. Wasn't exactly our best moment. Hopefully you make your way back to youtube. Always love seeing a diehard fan talk about their teams. You should look into hosting the locked on network for the Sabres.

I'm glad you're back and I'm glaD you came to that point in your fandom where you realized that letting yourself get depressed over a team, no matter how much you love them, wasn't worth the anguish. I learned a long time ago that if I'm going to suffer because of a team, I want a portion of someones paycheck. When Someone asks me who is your favorite player, I usually refer to a player from the past because. in this day and age, no one finishes their career with their original team. The Dodgers may lose Clayton Kershaw. They already lost Corey Seager. The team before the players. Welcome back. We missed you!!!

Hey Melody! I haven't been to this website in four months, because I as well, cannot take the grief at time from the Sabres and the Bills. I can relate to where your are coming from. (I used to be a passionate Bills Backer in Arizona (does the Music City Miracle ring a bell? - killed me!) and wrote most of our newsletter back in the late 1990's- I even hooked up TED'S (Spiro) to work with our club. He even distributed our newsletter for all the California people from Buffalo who went there when in AZ. I am now 70!) Your have great insight and attention to detail. Try to quell the feelings and stick to your talents! I, as well, loved to see Eichel blow the last goal!!! Good luck with your decision making process. ( BTW - I've got ya booked marked and don't want to have to delete it - just sayin'. HAHAHAHAHA!)

I went to the Avs vs Sabres game because this channel has sparked my interest in the Sabres and am from Colorado Springs so it was a great event for me. If there was abet for Buffalo to be in the playoffs before Vegas I might take the long odds on that one. GoAvs GoCanucks GoBuffalo.

Welcome back! I did see the tribute to Eichel. I was happy that Eichel got a tribute (as he should), but what I am not happy about are the people booing Jack Eichel. Like, I get they are upset about Eichel leaving, but they are booing the wrong person. Who they should be booing is the terrible owners and management trying to ruin Eichel. He did everything, I mean EVERYTHING, and he had little to no support. Like, he was the main reason why Buffalo fans go to games, and the only reason for the Sabres' relevance. And the worst part about it is this whole situation could have been avoided. If management had given Eichel the surgery he desired, he would have changed his mind about leaving, he would have still been a Sabre, and who knows what would have happened this season. Maybe they would have been better (especially with Thompson and Dahlin playing like gods and Skinner and Okposo returning to form), maybe they would have been worse, but either way, Eichel being there would have been all that matters. And the answer about the standings is....................we'll never know, because the Sabres management fucked it up. They ruined Jack Eichel like they ruined Ryan O'Reilly and Robin Lehner (mentally). Thank god you guys got Alex Tuch and Peyton Krebs, so it is a great return, even if they are nothing like Jack Eichel. I wish Eichel nothing but success in Vegas. And if Sabres fans can't deal with it and booed him for being cancer, they aren't real Sabres fans. For the Sabres fans who cheered for Eichel in his return, thank you so much. You are REAL Sabres fans and fans like you is what gives the Sabres hope.

Awesome to have ya back on this one! I've spent the last few days defending the fanbase. The crowd i was with during this game seemed to just enjoy the level of fan involvement! Most of us wish jack well and recognize his contributions. But he is the enemy now. I was laughing exactly the way you did. Whatever the motivation for the boos, we were unified and engaged in a way that has been too long here! And the game itself was fantastic! Once tuch got the en, it was storybook! Wish jack could laugh too.

So wonderful to see you back!!!! Hey, I really felt what you were saying on mental health, both with regards to my teams and social media. When you love your teams as much as I have and you do, you can take an unhealthy amount of identity and importance from them. This gets especially difficult when those teams aren't winning titles. Whatever form this channel takes, I hope you know how much we all enjoy watching you, and even those of us who are not Buffalonians or Buffalo fans wish for the best for those teams and your city because we wish all the best for you. Perhaps you can use this channel to release more original music or parody songs(more songs like You Feel Like Home, please).

Great video. You nailed it by mentioning that Eichel will be disliked because 1. He asked for a trade before he was injured and 2. He complained about losing his captaincy even though he knew he wasn’t going playing for the Sabres anymore.
