I'm a senior and todays' renditions of older songs leave me thinking 'it's my old ears that think they're out of tune'. listening to Mr. Jack tells me not so. I do like pure sounds and Jack delivers!!!!! thank you
@@marypearce6823 Couldn't agree more. Jack makes every song realize it's full potential. For example, the original versions of "If I Only Had the Words" is by Billy Joel and imo, it's terrible. I know he wrote it but Jack OWNED it. The same with "I Could've Been a Sailor". Not sure who wrote it but I've heard other people's versions and they fall flat. Jack gets inside every song and pulls out what it's meant to be. I've looked for someone-ANYONE -to perform "O Holy Night" hitting that high note on the last two "devines" and no one comes close. Jack is the absolute best ever.
My mum bought this LP all that time ago and I recorded two tracks on cassettes from it with some of my favourite artists, Lee; Darin; Como; Sinatra;Garland;Washington plus more from Jones plus orchestras Riddle,May& Connif.00 My bro acquired the LP much to my dismay but I do have a cassette of Bread; the lyrics of this group are pretty special unlike much of today's singularly repetitive word numbers performed in an appalling wailing style...and what's this constant use of 'like' in conversations by the younger generation; it shows an ignorance of our beautiful language.
