I started listening to Jack and others, Pema, Tara etc. as a lullaby to help me sleep. After some time, slowly, slowly, my fear began to dissipate. I started to listen when waking in the morning. The Adrenalin Mornings have almost disappeared. Now I have a nascent daily practice. Listening casually, half conscious, unconscious even, can change one and bring hope, peace and optimism. Thank you Jack and all the amazing teachers who make these talks available for free.
Yes. Thank you for your words. His words challenge and soothe. Slowly, when I drift off to sleep listening to Jack I relax a bit. Rest a bit in the uncertainty.
I just started the same thing a week or so ago to help me better navigate the death of my partner - the grief and stress got all tangled up. It’s a paradox right now because while the heartache is becoming more intense, there is a clarity I’ve never known. If not for these teachers and ease of access to their talks I would be out of my mind with grief and dread. Kornfield and Michael Singer and Tolle have been the greatest help.
I can totally relate Melissa:) For many years now, Jack and Tara Brach have both been lullaby’s to help me go to sleep. I let a playlist go all night. It’s been wonderful to wake up and see what teaching they are giving. Jack is the best teacher for gently reminding us of our Buddha natures- what an antidote to the condemning Christianity that I grew up with. Thank you Jack and all your wonderful people who are cultivating loving awareness. Blessings in the new year💞 ❤️🧡💛💚💜💙🙏🏽🙏🏽🌺⚡️🌦🔥
