Thanks for all the support on the first episode! I had a ton of fun making this one, even if it did take a lot longer than I wanted it to... The next video I post will be Drip Quest #20 and I’ll be trying to make it a little bit friendlier for all the new viewers since I don’t want to make anyone watch the previous 19 episodes (or the scuffed compilation). Before anyone asks YES the bit @ 6:36 is made partly with AI voices, NO it’s not my first choice but I thought it would make a better bit than just me doing 5 bad voices and I don’t have the $$$ or connections for 5 random people to spontaneously do a quick voice over. The second chunk roll intro bit is based off the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild opening scene, I had the idea for it last night and I think it turned out okay, hopefully it doesn’t get me copyright claimed XD
70 Mining. Stars don't count. You will spend hours world hopping and that is boring for all of us. Plus, it is a DnD. It's like the random events. You are not collecting all the outfits from randoms before leaving a chunk, right? Same-same.
70 minins is fine, stars are not chunk specific, they spawn randomly in a lot of locations. may have been a mistake to sell the gold bar, im not sure if you are counting random event loot, but if you get access to gems you could make an amulet with it. once you get a furnace unlocked.
My immediate thought was $MONEY$ but to be fair the furnace is quite a few rolls eastward and at this point the leo random does not exist for that bank deposit box. :)
70 mining is fair and new chunck unlock is 2 levels after 80 is 1 level to 90. You can do every 3 if needed be. All free be are not counted as mining deal unless it 10 in a row then you have get two level ups if you under 80.
I would suggest handling stars by tier, first unlocked chunk with a star is 10 mining, then 20, 30... Stars are technically chunk specific but they are also rng gated due to the nature of how they are replenished. A 1/79 chance to appear in your chunk every 90 minutes seems kinda silly to grind out (not taking into consideration world hopping and not being able to mine stars until they have depleted enough for your mining level and stars just randomly poofing out of existance)
I have to get 70 mining in that chunk for the adamantite regardless. Maybe when I unlock the next star spawn (I think there are 3 total in Varlamore) I'll go for 80 but I haven't decided quite yet. Pretty good idea though thank you! :)
I'm loving these videos! We have a similar style! Definitely looking forward to more Sun Chunks videos and wish you all the best in your rolls. It's totally your call if you only wanna get 70 mining instead of 90. When I started out, there was a possibility I would have to get 90 in Rimmington thanks to its star location, but I "lucked out" and didn't have to make that decision since the mining cape was presented to me on a silver platter 👀 I'd say do whatever is best for your sanity and channel/series growth in general. People are really forgiving when presented with the options.
"I am not an extreme, I'm an idiot" 10:35 I know that's a bit out of context, but I found that amusing ;) - also very relatable Regarding the question at the end about mining: Make it a challenge, maybe one step farther than you're comfortable to go, and then see where you're at. Onechunks are supposed to be challenging in unique ways. But also in my opinion, this is also supposed to be ultimately enjoyable. If you don't enjoy the journey, but are happy where you're at in the end, then that works. If you like they journey itself, even better. But if you are going all the way to 90 and are just "ugh, finally" with no sense of accomplishment to best that bonkers requirement, then make sure to create your own fun in some way, whatever that ends up meaning to you
Really appreciate your feedback! I'm trying to strike a balance between fun and challenging but at the end of the day going all the way to 90 mining just for another star tier isn't fun or rewarding in any way. Glad to see most people understand or agree with that point of view. :)
Awesome stuff! I love that you are putting out high-quality content from the jump. I like to give content a chance, but I was sold on you right away. I think for missing the pita bread, you shouldn't worry about it. If your source of truth (chunk picker site) is wrong, it's not your fault. I think 90 mining is ideal for other accounts that say they're extreme. I don't think you do that and I do think that you wouldn't have fun with 90 mining, so 70 is my vote Unrelated, but is Picaria in the SCCCC played by someone I should know? I feel like I recognize her voice from somewhere.
Thank you! I've had a lot of videos to learn from but I try my best to improve :) I mentioned this in my pinned comment but all the voices in this video aside from my own are AI. The Picaria voice in particular is one of the most popular on elevenlabs and a professional voice clone so there's a good chance you have heard that voice elsewhere.
8:11 you missed a huge opportunity to say "oh my cod" I went into that cave you got a cutscene for. It's just the area under the hunter guild, but you can't reach anything from the ledge it puts you on It's 7,500~ rabbits from 1-58 (the grind I'm on right now actually) and takes 375k gp if you don't burn any
12:34 assuming you're using standard video editing software like vegas, you can render small demanding portions beforehand and just slap the rendered video into your main project, this saves a lot of computing power and makes your PC not explode. Loving the series, keep up the good work!
70 + star ring for sanities sake imo. Could do 90 just to shut the rando haters up but shooting stars are essentially random events in my eyes, so not totally necessary imo Edit: keep up the great work!
i started a vanilla chunk iron recently (haven't been recording lowkey regret that but whatever) and the nice thing about it is that it's easy to tailor it to what you want to do! if it were me i would NOT get 90 mining for that lol. 70 is fair but even then i might put that off till i have some more things to shake up my grinds with
Hope your chunk locked is going well :) I don't have the worst spot for a 90 mining grind compared to some places since it does have a double iron spot but bronze pickaxing the whole way and 0 real unlocks past level 70 would feel awful

Forgive me if I’m wrong. In the chunk with the Quetzal can’t that take you back to Varrock? And are you going to make Varrock rollable when you eventually unlock that chunk?
You can take it back to Varrock but I'm waiting to see how sailing works functionally and to a lesser degree what Varlamore part 2 brings before deciding how I want to tackle leaving the region.
Im pretty sure that bronze pick/axe are worse dps than unarmed because theyre 5-ticks, unarmed is 4 ticks and the stats are so low they dont make up for that difference.
