I love Andy. He never changes. He's still wearing the same clothes and making the same moves he did when he was fifteen. It's nice, in a world that usually has your favorite singer strung out and looking plastic by the third album...
I met this guy 3 weeks ago. My friend won a pass to go to a meet and greet with Andrew before he played a show. We had no idea who he was so we just went. He was super nice and we really enjoyed meeting him. This isn't really my kind of music but I've been listening to his stuff and giving it a chance. I really admire his overall musicianship. I think he's super talented. He seems like a really genuine and good hearted guy.
Well done. Technically sound. Good musical talent. STILL....this is pop, mainstream S H L O C K! I would not go out of my way to listen to this and may even struggle to finish it once.
I'm obsessed. How does this man manage to consistently outdo himself ten-fold?! lovelovelove. And pretty fitting that I got my first Jack's tat this week!
I don't see why the majority of people seem to think The Glass Passenger wasn't as good as Everything In Transit. I think both were amazing, but I feel like the glass passenger is so just...there isn't a right word. Filled with feeling and passion. It tells his battle through cancer and just so much more. The Glass Passenger is beautiful.
Guh! Ah-mazing!!! I love seeing all the recording studio dynamics! Andrew is super into it (per awesome usual), Bobby's chillaxin' like a boss, and Jay is ridin' the rhythm and slangin't them drums! Love love love it!
@GuitarMusicV Andrew has been my hero for a long time too. Ever since I first heard Something Corporate. It's almost painful to see how old he's gotten though. I'm afraid someday he'll stop recording.
I'm hoping People&Things maintains the energy of these first two releases. TGP had a couple of gaps in energy that EIT didn't. EIT was nonstop energy - and it was incredible.
completely agree. there's some amazing songs with Amy in it; try "Its Gonna Be Hard" by the Audition or "Amy" by We Shot the Moon (realize your comment is months old, but why not)
Two people prefer Bieber. Glad to see Andrew can grow, and not all Jack's albums sound the same, unlike most music and bands out there. As a fan since JM's genesis, I'm happy to grow along with Jack's and Andrew's sound. @vent0lin616, hell yes he does!
Got to see him play this live a couple weeks back. Front row=amazing experience. He's one of those rare musicians that sounds just as good live as in the studio.
@swisspeoplearegr8 Awww, that's too bad. Maybe if you end up going you could buy her a t-shirt. A guy once did that for me and it was the sweetest thing ever.
@MantisTobagganMD Well if you haven't already, you should listen to his first band, Something Corporate, as well. They're equally as legit, and if you've only started listening in '05 you might not have heard SoCo. If you have, that's awesome--if not, check them out.
@HannahTheHappyHippie I'm not sure when he got it, but if you do a google image search for "Andrew McMahon's tattoos" it should come up within the first few pages. I've actually only seen one picture of it, but it's pretty cool.
