This man earned his jacket... I want to buy some A2 jacket but I feel bad wearing it looking at such brave guys... Sitting in a Plane under heavy fire... Hats off, 39 bombing missions... All the best to you Jack!!!
I bought one, original from ww2, wanting to wear it. I'll tell you from experience, the history behind the jacket and being almost 80 years old, you wont wear it, they're too valuable historically to risk ruining. I ended up buying a reproduction for everyday wear and keep the original tucked away.
So cool. Serviceman from this generation are treasures with history we should strive to preserve, so thanks for doing this. Not many of these guys left. This is great.

You can't put a price on that A-2! Good for him, for keeping it in the family! Hopefully, his son will treasure it as much as he has, for all these years!
That jacket and that man’s stories are something special that only a a guy who appreciates the freedom these brave men risked everything for would appreciate. You are now in the heavens above sir. God speed young again warrior.
Nice nice. Still in good shape like the owner. The 5 negative thumbs down may go to hell. Very interesting information. The jacket still squeaks alright. Never had one compulsion to put that on for all those years. Thank you Jack & the others.
Hello Joe Friday, Thank you for your comment Jack has got some fantastic stories to tell and you will be abl to watch them all on my Channel as I edit them please subscibe to my channel and you will receive them as I finish them. Kind Regards John.
If you love the jacket and it is special to you, it is every bit as good. It is not the physical jacket, but what it represents that counts and you seem to understand what it means.
matrox If you like the look of it Avirex makes some good looking A-2 Jackets that are very similar and the if you look up "Cockpit USA 100 Mission A-2 Jacket" its about identical to the one in this video.@330990714189
Jack, God bless you, & THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE WORLD. I never knew my uncle, but I think he was a "Blue Nosed B-st--rds of Bodney". Once, when I was wearing the old jacket (I am thin), a fellow stopped me and asked, "Are you old enough to have been in the 8th Army?" I explained, shook his hand and thanked him for his great contribution. I am embarrassed, as my generation seems only to have hurt the world. -Peace. PS: The cuffs are a mess; -too much to repair.
Very nice A-2! It would be a honor to me if you check out Josh´s Flight Jackets on Facebook. I´m doing the same WWII artwork with love and passion. Very best wishes Josh from Germany
