I am not going to do a full analysis of this song, but when the lyrics are “Love brain heart control” but it misses one out, it kind of makes me think that it’s metaphorical of the person neglecting them singularities. But then there’s “caffeinate” which is a constant. It makes me think that maybe caffeine is like a crutch for this person but it feels as though the rest can’t all exist at once. For instance, the person can focus on their intelligence (brain), love, sense of worth and happiness in general (heart) but can’t control themselves (control). As for the second part, it seems as though the person is themselves getting blamed for their sadness or lack of intelligence etc as they’re always hyper-fixating on all but one aspect. It’s kind of though if they were able to take a step back and realise that they all need to exist in their brain to an extent, then maybe they could be overall happier. But of course they can’t see that. Also the “wake up” part I think is like them starting to realise that they’re harming themselves more by having these habits.

I think this song is about mental illness, trauma, and how a large portion of society doesn't view either as real. While trauma fits more directly with being called an injury, many mental illnesses can be caused due to traumatic events. The most obvious part supporting this: "I am injury...!" / "No you aren't! You make the choice to be!" That is a common response to mental illness/trauma. Following it with "Dopamine..." represents how people will reduce these highly complex internal struggles down to "Just be happy! Just get over it!" However, what some might miss is that the beginning chant actually alludes to this as well. "Love, brain, heart, control, caffeinate, melatonin." These are false solutions offered by people who don't understand. The rounds lacking certain parts of this chant may indicate the traumatized/ill person running down that list and finding each one failing to fix anything. "Wake up - smack!" A more forceful, violent response to trauma/mental illness. Instead of dismissing the notion with unhelpful cheeriness, they take it as a challenge, an inconvenience, an insult, or even a threat and lash out.

This song gives me alot of sad memories I was injured by a family member's death I was injured by a divorce I was injured by all my dogs dying I am injured trying to be in a stable state to go to school Ect, but this song brings me at ease I am not depressed I would say I am in an unstable state.
