Mold Earth can excavate a 5^3 cube in 6 seconds. That means it would take 48 seconds to make a 10^3 ft cube, or 6.4 minutes to make a 20^3. 22^3 would take about 8.5 minutes meaning a level 1 Druid could make 3 of those holes in the time it takes to watch this video, and still have time to Druidcraft a Flower Crown.

@@BlueSparrow23 Mold Earth moves the 5' cube, a whole 5 feet from the hole you just excavated. Even it the DM allows that "excavate". means that the earth lifts it out of a 20' hole, you still have a huge mound of earth sitting around. Yeah, you can mold earth that away by shifting a 5' cove a whole 5 feet. Gonna take a tad more than 8 minutes. It's a handy cantrip, but still just a cantrip.

Folktales get mixed and iterated upon all the time. It's no surprise that by the time the writer of Dael's book put the story of Jack the Giant Killer down in print, it had absorbed basically every notable story of a human killing a giant. See also the bit with the "fee, fi, fo, fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman".

We have the exact same folktale in Hungary with a clever shepherd boy and the giant slicing its own belly!

I'm starting to think Jack the Giant Killer is probably the one pulling stories from everywhere else (I mean, I already had my suspicions based on structure, but hearing all the different variants from all over the place is totally dope)

It's mainly the English that make fun of Wales. Us Scots and the Irish aren't big on picking on a fellow ancient land and people. The English suck when it comes to dealing with any of us three. Historically and recently.

Isn't there a monastery or castle of some sorts? I drove past it not so long ago and had to stop to enjoy the magnificent view. @@adampurdy1333 Thanks for the info. I think I went down the rabbit hole to quick to see the name and got fixated on the Bolster giant myth. Still odd there is no single term for places like that and a lot of the local places seem to name them something different. I guess an island would be the best generic term for them.
