Idk people are probably split on this but I really like when musicians/comedians and performers do this, I get that people want to take pictures and stuff but get more in the moment there’s already videos of all this stuff onljne

I've been to several of his "no phone" shows. Having no phones held up blocking the view is a refreshing change. People actually interact with one another before the show rather than staring at their screens. He tried asking people to put away their phones back with the Blunderbuss tour. He said that instead they would share pictures from the show on their website, so the audience could be present during the performance. Apparently, they didn't listen, so from then on he went to the yondr pouch.

This wasn't a Jack White concert event. It was the celebration for the grand reopening of the newly restored Michigan Central Train Station. I bet you many in the crowd don't know who Jack White is. But he was only one of several acts that played a few songs that night. Diana Ross and Eminem also performed.

@@dbrev10 Thx, I didn't know. I didn't think Jack reneged his rule of No Smart Phones at his concerts. I'm glad he's back to his dark hair color. The blue hair reminded me of little old blue haired ladies. Nothing wrong with being old.. it's a blessing to reach old age 🕊️ Just don't get blue hair. I think it's cringe on ANYone, L🔵L (Apologies for the hair color rant. Too much Expresso this late in the day) ☕💙☕💙☕

The crowd is so clearly divided into 'people enjoying the experience/living in the moment' and 'people holding their devices/filming'. As long as I live, I will never understand why people choose to attend an event like that and experience it from behind their gadget. I went to his no-phone show in London in June 2022 - best night ever. Everyone fully absorbed, connected, alive.
