So weird to think he’s done so much, been in 4 separate bands, played at stadiums, had a solo career, created his own label and record store and so much more, and yet he’s still only 46.
You are so right...one of the Best rock Songs since decades......man, i am so excited 'bout Jacks new music this is Stefan from Germany close to Ramstein Air Base.
@@jonnyelectric8343 i wouldnt put him in that box...does he have a lot of blues type songs? yup...especially in the white stripes ...but some of his songs cant even be categorized ...is corporation the blues? whats the trick is blues? lazaretto is blues? blue orchid is blues? i dunnnno bro ...he can kill the blues ball and biscuit and many more...but you cant put him in that box imo
@@guitaristssuck8979 it's not just about that, is about doing the precise things, this is heavely compressed to make it feel tighter, it gives the impression there is something always changing and trying to escape a leash or something
How in the name of GOD does the guy completely reinvent himself? Outstanding! He never misses. Love it! I swear sometimes I think he's all we've got left in the Rock World.
@@SpaghettiShaq a good start is nothing but thieves, they have 3 amazing albums so just tskr ur pick. Royal republic makes high energy bombastic rock. Goodbye june and rival sons are my favorite blues rock bands. Oh no by goodbye june is an amazing song. The blue stones and des rocs are 2 of my all time favorite bands, 3 albums between the 2 bands, take your pick
I remember instantly loving those song when I first heard... Now I'm absolutely blown away to just learn it was Jack all along. Definitely makes sense now but it would have taken me 100 guesses unless I listened super carefully and picked out his unique voice. Nothing wrong with EDM but there will always be a special place for people who can play an actual instrument or all of them in his case. Lol
What I love most about Jack and his style of playing is the way his personal brand of uniqueness shows through in almost every song. Most guitar players will get why but if you have ever bought one of those multi effects pedals like a Digitech RP360 XP and went through all the factory presets you always come across a couple that are a little weird sounding or out there and most players will skip over those thinking they really can't make that sound work but that's exactly what Jack's sound is ingrained in and I love it, Jack will always stand out from the pack with his playing, writing, and singing.
One of my proudest moments as a father, is that any time we get in the vehicle, my 2yo son says, "Taking Me Back, Daddy! Peeeease! Taking Me Back!!!" Absolutely, my boy!!! Let us ROCK!!!!
Its been a year, Cant believe it, cant wait for more from Jack. This was a masterpiece and I probably have listened to this and his two new albums over 1000 times this past year. Rock On!
Wow! Jack is back. This is his best album to date. What he lacked in cohesiveness with his sound on his previous releases, he more than makes up for it on this release. White’s eccentricity, mixed with experimental guitar, laden with digital layering and synths, stills allows his prowess to shine through. He maintains his ability to produce propelling, driven guitar riffs with melodic aesthetics. He is true Jack White with his frenetic playing, that screams the bluesy, garage band, and prog-rocker he’s always been, he’s sharpened his ability to easily meld his vocals and multi-tonal riffs, proving his mastery at being a guitar alchemist. And while White states he’s not doing anything others haven’t done before- he gets out of his comfort zone and pushes boundaries like he hasn’t done before. Additionally, White plays most of the instruments himself including an analogue synth. Indeed a great album through and through. Judy-Music journalist
To Say One of the greatest ever is a bit strong, he is totally top 10 of the 21st Century, but cmon Even in his generation You have guys like John fruciante, Tom morello, matt Bellamy, Josh homme, etc. But he help shape 2000's rock músic for Shure
i agree with you, and the guys on the 'it might get loud' film sure agree too. i wish that more guitar players apreciate this rough and beautiful kind of aproach. I think that most people dont see him as a "guitar hero" or a guitar reference.
@@stajeko I think your comment is operated Let me put it this way,I think a lot of people don't give Jack credit for being one of the most innovative guitarists ever
Omg. If you can appreciate layers, processed instruments, overdrive, and some slick lyrics as much as I do then this song is gonna make your head explode with jubilation.
I love this psychedelic part of Jack White, he's not only art in his music, he's also art in his music videos bringing these ideas, once more Mr. White... Bravo!
Thank you. I said that years ago. I'm a 67 year old crappy guitar player from way back. Jack White got my attention the second he hit the scene. So damn good.
This guy is one of the only musician that gives a f&^k about the state of Rock and Roll right now so give him all the respect he deserves. I love both versions of this song and can't wait for the double album!
I will admit that it wasn’t my taste at first, but after about 2-3 listens I was finding it stuck in my head. This is great stuff from Jack. So far into his career to be still making some of the best sounds you’re going to hear is incredible. What an absolute legend! He’ll never lose me as a fan.
I just love how aesthetic are his videos. It's not just a good song, is a goddamn entire experience. It's a audiovisual modern art. PS: is Jack White a vampire? This man doesn't age! I wanna know the secret.
@@darthdicnbalz Oh god no please NOOOO (use Michael Scott voice) This sh*t of QAnon no, I give my best at my universities to fall into a piece of poor fake news like that hahaha
I love how each of these riffs could easily be in a different song and he could build a whole album just around stuff he used in this song and it would still sound fire but he decides to put it all in an amazing perfect rock song. Jack white is a musical genius.
Really cannot get enough of his music. I lived in Detroit for a short time as a child then moved back to Lansing. I hope to visit his shop in the near future when I visit family back in Michigan.
I've probably listened to this song at least 100 times since I first heard it on satellite radio. I can't think of the last time I've loved a song so much after first hearing it. Thank you Jack White for making music that rocks!!!
I love that this has began to age enough that it pops in my head and I pull up the video. It's strange watching a new song become part of the classic catalogue.
Just got this album today and it is incredible. Easily the best album of the year so far. First album I've gotten in a long time where every track is good and demands repeat listens.
Amazing. I grew up listening to White Stripes. Then I kinda lost track of Jack's career. Now this is me hearing his new song for first time. Amazing! A true artist to stand the test of time. Very impressive.
Where have I been, just discovering this. Been following Jack White for awhile, but not the past few years. Well, here I am rekindling my love for Jack White. :)
This song reminds me of Clair de Lune...no verse is truly the same and each note is slightly different...leaving your mind continously searching for the perfect key and coming back to the song. Very few artists can pull this off and Jack's ingenuity and creativity execute it fantastically with his own unique and loud way. Love it!
Loved Jack White forever, and basically memorized his every song (White Stripes, Raconteurs, Dead Weathers, Solo), but even I didnt expect this to be so good. Fantastic.
Jack is literally a rock n roller ... he rocks to the east ... he rocks to the west ... he rocks to the place that we love the best ... and it was ALL RIGHT !!!
IMO this new album is a freaking MASTERPIECE - a sonic wonderland that can stand toe-to-toe with the best rock albums of all time. It grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go - I think it pushes the genre to a new, unprecedented level.. sounding like hard-driving techno - endlessly creative - like Ennio Morricone and Rob Zombie had a baby that screams like Robert Plant. The guitar solos are so jarring, they practically reinvent the meaning of the term. A perfect album at the perfect time. I'm confident my brain is going to start leaking when I see him live next week.
Is anyone disappointed the pandemic cost us some Raconteurs concerts? The last album had some pretty good songs… Was good to see the guys working again.
It doesn't matter how much of a whimsical piece of art he gives to us, it's not distributed as we would like to n' as it's deserved. Anyway, the level of appreciation and respect that we feel for Jack's music goes beyond boarders, popular music will never be as transcendent or even relevant for the future as only this Rock is going to be
oh wow.... I love every piece of music jack white has ever produced, this time though with the stuttering glitchy synths he managed to pull off the sound I love I've never thought he would create. This talks to my love of punk, blues, electronic music and fucking mathcore at the same time
The fact that there are two differenr versions to this song is itself art. It is sort of emotionally satisfying as sometimes one doesnt know what to feel. Also, smartly dips itself into two different genres. :)
Mesmerizing Song, Power chords and outstanding drums together with Jack's outstanding vocals and lyrics. Does not sound like 2022 music and that is the refreshing part.
Jack White looks like agent Jack Bower in this video from a past very popular television show called, "24" that used to come on tv. And this song is super awesome like agent Jack Bower was.
