Mounts one powerfist (or equivalent power weapon), one storm bolter (with capacity to lock joints to fire with perfect accuracy), and an advanced sensor suite. Requires special training to move in. Even then, the wearer can only walk, and is limited in motion. Noisy, cumbersome and blatantly overt. Tyberos' Terminator armour: Stands 10-12 foot tall at the head. Mounts four chainblades, two powerfists, and six lightning claw talons, an archeotech sensor suite, enhanced servo-bundles, personal shielding, and a whole lot more archeotech. Can dodge, roll, jump, and both run and strike so fast that other Astartes remark about how he's startlingly fast. Vast energies produced by the suit cause optical, audio, and tactile distortions. Whisper silent. Vision blurry? Teeth itching? Skull throbbing? Sudden pulsing in your ears and bleeding nose? He's probably behind you.

There is no “Fuck around.” With Tyberos. There’s only “Find out.”

For anybody who doesn’t know who the fellow in the image is. This is tyberos the red wake. He is the chapter master or “reaper lord” of the carcharadons astra. A giant even among space marines he wears a specially crafted suit of terminator armor. He completely forgoes any ranged weapons instead wielding his personal weapons, the dual lightning chainfists “hunger and slake” and under his helmet his face is described as “a corpse-white nightmare with half the bones of his face exposed in a bloodless grimace while his eyes are a soulless, depthless black.”

Incorporating drowning noises into the theme of an Astartes with a shark motif is fucking genius.

There are a lot of unstoppable forces in 40k. A lot of them hinge on having access to specific powers or lineages, incredible size beyond mountains, incredible technology beyond logic, incredible magic from another universe. And then there are beings like Tyberos. Still technically, just a mortal ape in a suit. And yet.. A writer could tell me he rips Lucius and damns his soul back to Slaneesh, because Tyberos's body, his soul.. it is nothing more than a ravenous fanged maw, an unlivable place, an incorruptible form by the sheer concentrated focus of hunting blood thirst and savagery for feeding on the enemies of the emperor. I wouldn't bat an eye. I wouldn't open a single thread. Not one question. Slake and Hunger will have their fill. Until the entire ocean turns red. And the next.. and the next.

Traitors when they see a single terminator: This'll be easy. When the same terminator dodge rolls Traitors: is it too late to swear allegiance to the emperor?

Tyberos the Red Wake is more badass than half of the fucking Primarchs. He doesn't speak unnecessarily, he doesn't threaten or jabber on and on about stupid promises - he just *acts* and *serves* in the name of the "Void Father" (Emperor). His prayers are the screams of the enemy and his hymns are the whine of Hunger and Slake chewing through ceramite, and each battle is a baptism of boiling blood and sizzling cinder. I would love more lore about Tyberos and his chapter

Very fun fact. This big boy right here and his entire chapter are notoriously silent during battle. Dead quiet.

Just a little reminder that Tyberos is actually faster than most Space Marines in his Terminator Armor. The only Space Marines that could even have a chance of beating him in a one on one duel are Dante, Astarion Moloc, Sigimund and Kharn.

The fact that this 9 feet tall demigod can run and do sneak attacks while wearing a custom pattern dreadnought armour makes me terrified to think about.

I'd like to imagine there are large speakers attached to Tyberos' pauldrons that just play this during battle.

It's funny that in the table top, he only has two more attacks than a normal terminator captain without any extra toughness or wounds

Tyberos is an entity of such inevitable death and destruction he doesn't "hide" to avoid being seen. He remains unseen by occupying the realm of "Find Out" that the mind builds mental walls around to avoid.

It’s funny, Tyberos IS big. But, there may have been a Space Marine that matched or was bigger than him. Alexis Polux of the Imperial Fists. He was so big Primarchs didn’t need to look down, but straight in his eyes. He was such a monster, that with one punch, he exploded the head of an Iron Warrior with his offhand, not his power fist. Just one punch. He became the first chapter master of the Crimson Fists. That’s why they are the THE Crimson Fists, after him, his gauntlets were stark red after battle, he just ruined traitor legionnaires with his hands.

Spoilers below: In the second book of the Carcharadon series, Outer Dark, Tyberos is on the main ship dealing with Tyranid boarders. The Chief Librarian Te Kahurangi follows him, watching as the Big Man just walks forward and single handedly tears specialized Warriors apart. Tyberos then goes into one of the boarding bugs, which are living things that chew into the ship and spit out stomach acids, and kills it from the inside before coming back out and says nothing. Just goes back to business.

I love how this sounds mindful, like Tyberos is a predator, using every advantage in his disposal, tactical, and also paints a pictures from 2 perspectives. One is from Tyberos' and his allies, vengeful and angry, and another is from his enemies, dreadful, with a feeling of impending DOOM. And it also works if you replace Tyberos with doomguy.
