I’ve had this for over a year and always wondered why it’s so big for having only 28 batteries inside. I appreciate this video more than others will!! Thank you!
Especially with higher voltages, its smart to use only one arm at a time. This way, if you accidentally touch a live wire and form a connection to the ground, the current won't flow through your heart. Makes it less dangerous
What tell me that it’s not leib33. I don’t know what rock you live under or whether you think that this Earth can’t ever die because of our continuing action. You shouldn’t tell others how they are wrong when you don’t know crap yourself.
For those comparing the Jakary to a 20,000mAh powerbrick, please keep in mind that those 20,000mAh powerbricks would be 5volts... I believe the Jackary is configured for 14.4 volts.... hence 14.4 x 16.8 = 241.92 Watt Hours... where as 5v x 20 = 100 Watt Hours. Even more importantly, Each cell of the Jackary is rated at 1800mA (which is fairly reasonable/realistic) most 20,000 powerbricks consist of 9 cells, which implicitly (when you account for them boosting the 3.6v to 5v) are claiming an individual cell capacity of nearly 3000maH...which is highly unlikely (unreslistic). Most claims of individual cell capacity above 2000maH are ussually over-exaggerated as only very expensive top-tier cells can have anywhere near that capacity in a 18650 format. So most likely those 20,000mAh 5v powerbricks are really only about 10,000mAh in real-world use. To be fair though, the Jackary is only going to get 240 watt hours if it us connected to DC, a resistive AC load is going to be significantly less (and an inductive AC load is going to even less that that). One last note, depending on how those cells were arranged on the Jackary, when Zack was unscrewing the battery holding plate, if he had dropped the screwdriver, he could have triggered a massive vent-with-flame condition that would have LIKELY cascaded across all 36 cells... That would have very likely caused extremely significant bodily injury to him. SO PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL IF YOU EVER ATTEMPT ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND UNDERSTAND THE DANGERS BEFOREHAND.
I believe this unit is input current is limited to about 46 watts DC. This would make the 60 watt solar panel more than enough on a sunny day. Overcast or northern latitudes may favor the 100 watt panel.
@1:50 Then their warranty is not in compliance with U.S. laws. Consumers are able to examine their products inside and out without voiding their warranty as long as they do not break anything. See the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act for further information.
FYI, opening it up can't legally void the warranty. If you don't damage anything they can't void the warranty. There is a reason the government sent letters to major electronics manufactures reminding them working on your own device doesn't void your warranty. This goes back to the car manufactures trying to force people to have to take their car to the dealer for maintenance.
# yeah and they are garbage quality with 0 customer support. This is the issue with the “as cheap as possible movement” you’re going to destroy quality manufacturers.
@@NotABotok amazon gives me 2 years warranty, batteries usually last that long. The cheaper version has less battery than this one, but is still useful for camping or as a festival power bank that won't need to be charged daily.
A funny thing to see in the intro, when Zach have to snap his fingers, it would be funny for Cambry's hand to pop in the shot and snap the fingers for him, because...you know, he played Thanos and did too many shots of snaping fingers and now he busted his hand while hanging Christmas decorations
Amazing Teardowns, Soul soothing voice, memerising commentary and ICONIC One Liners. JerryRigEverything gives me one more reason to smile Everytime I'm here. Congratulations in advance for 5M. Millions more to come ♥️
Very nice however I am staying with Goal Zero. I have a goal zero 1400 and I can completely recharge it in 3 hours using their 25 amp fast charger and my Honda EU2200I. Jack biggest disadvantage is it’s recharge time and because of that it’s only good for weekends camping trips, the ones you check in around 3pm Friday and out by 1pm Sunday. I strongly encourage anyone who is considering buying lithium battery packs or AGM battery packs to consider the recharge time. Again the recharge time is very important.
Dang I love this channel!! I just seen you at Walgreens in Utah county with my cousin and you let us take a picture with ya I’m so glad we did and thanks for it I know you were with your wife but you still took the picture and my cousin and I really appreciate it. I hope all goes well on your trip and you can return home safely. Tyler Fonua
"It can even run a TV for a couple of hours if you are out in the middle of the woods and want to watch a movie" 😂😂 So if you ever see some guy in the middle of the woods with his feet up watching Hitman Agent 47 on his 50" TV it will be Zack!!! 😂😂
Seeing Zack handle those innards with his bare hands reminds me of The Simpsons episode with Frank Grimes and his death by live wires. Famous last words: "I don't need rubber gloves, because I'm Zack N...:" 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
Jerry, I love how concise your videos are. You respect our time. I see other RU-vidr videos which are longer than 20 minutes which I stopped watching all together. So thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your bride.
It’s crazy to see such a big youtuber make great enjoyable videos that usually aren’t even 10 minutes long so he isn’t making near as much money as he could. Great to see a content creator more concerned with the quality of his content over his income.
The batteries are priced reasonable enough but their solar panel prices are insane, I get a large portion of the cost is just for easier portability but even by portable panel standards $300 for a 100W panel is just nuts.
