Hi, this is a very beautiful sweater and I noticed a few others have asked for help with making it in a large size. I too would like to know what size hook and how many chain stitches to make. Please help us so we can make the sweater in a size large. Thank you.
The number of foundation chains depends on many factors like your gauge and the yarn you choose for the project (some yarns are stretchier than the others). For the XL size, I would start with the same number of chains, but work more increase rows in all parts to make sleeves wider. So, I'd work about 11 increase rows adding chs in all parts, and then I would increase chs for front and back parts only until my front and back parts become wide enough to my chest circumference accordingly. Happy crochet! -her reply on the website
I was able to get the pattern by going into my internet server separately. Thank you. Now that I have the pattern I have started this beautiful cardigan and I already love it.
On the first row there is an extra stitch at the end I've tried it 3 times and the only way it works is if you crochet into the 5 chain from the hook at the start of the row instead of the 4th chain from the hook
Gracias por compartir no entiendo mucho pero mirando e realizado varios de tus proyectos uno de ellos este que Dios te bendiga saludos de Toluca México
Hey.. I love this video. But I have a question for you. Could you please let me know how to make this for Large size? As in the number of chains & stitches. That'd really help. I want to make one for my daughter.. Thanks..
Your math doesn’t add up for the foundation when beginning this project. I have done it twice and I am left with 1 extra chain at the end of row 1 both times. In order for it to work, you should be chaining 59 instead of 60.
Hola soy Susana de Argentina me encantan tus creaciones quisiera si es posible q pusieran la traduccion en español o algin canal para interpretar mejor. Dsde ya muchas gracias
The web page pattern does not have a sizing chart. Which size are you making this cardigan for in the video? I don't think mention that in the video 🤔. Please help. It's a big project and frogging the whole thing would be heartbreaking if it doesn't fit.
Could you tell me what is the size that you are making and is it possible to make it in bigger sizes Thank you for all that you do your videos are very easy to follow Thank you
I love this crochet cardigan and I want to make it soon. I tried to get on your website to get the written pattern but my internet security server sets up a warning and won't let me into it. It says your site is unsecured.
Hi Nagaratna Dhupad, I would start totally the same because it is a top down crochet technique. When you crochet to your 15th row (joining front and back parts together), work dc5 above each shell instead of dc4. Happy crochet!
I’ve tried to crochet this but it’s not that detailed and you can get into a real pickle especially on the first few rows. The written pattern is even worse. Seriously has anyone ever finished this garment, if you did you deserve a medal.
Hi cloudydaez, The video has a chart (0:35). If that is not just a spam post, it looks like you did not choose the project to your crochet skills accordingly. This project is for advanced beginners. It is expected that you know how to make a foundation chain and work double crochet stitches. The other option is to ask questions. Happy crochet!
InterUnet I’ve been crocheting for years there is nothing wrong with my crochet skills. As for asking questions a few people have asked about the 60 chain at the start the first row leaves you an extra stitch but you never replied. Again I ask, has anyone finished this garment?
Hi cloudydaez, I know that some crocheters do not count one chain on a hook or the very first chain. I always count all chains. I answer questions on my website first (interunet.com/crochet-cardigan) whenever possible, and then on RU-vid. Happy crochet!
InterUnet I followed you on your first row but if you look at the first row you have 60 chain. According to your calculations, the hook goes into the 4th chain from the hook (not counting the loop on the hook, no crocheter I know counts that as a chain) and then the hook goes into the 5th chain between the shells and the corners. When you get to the end to do the last corner there is an extra stitch left. So either you’ve miscounted during the first row or the starting chain should be 59 chain. You say ask questions which I did but then assumed I know nothing about crochet. Do your first row again and you will see what I mean. I’m not the only one that has picked that up.
Hi cloudydaez, I understand what you mean. I'm glad that you figured out how to work the first row. That is the most important thing. As I wrote before I always count like that. Happy crochet!
