Listening to Jackie is like listening to your parents. Firm, strict but you can feel the care in the fact that he isn't just crushing your heart - he's putting the hard truth up there and how to improve step by step.
"Sometimes, not everyone on set can watch out for you." What a tough truth to stomach that even in an industry so glamorized, the actors still have to take extra measures to ensure they feel safe. It's really nice to see actors curious on how to better hone their craft and be open to learning more!
I have such immense respect for him. Been his fan since I was a kid. No matter what profession you are in, only discipline and humility will take you far.🙏
You know when you hear the name Jackie Chan, you smile and you know what first come to mind. That is how you know that he made it to the top. You’ll never forget his movies and the characters he portray
Jackie is right hardships and experience can make u a Matured actor not the other way around, being in his caliber of an actor is life risking during his time it's not all about being pretty or flashy but it's all about dedication.
What he said is so true. Chinese drama nowadays close to 100% are voiceovers, dubs by other people, if there any action then they use the camera to somehow make it so fake u think it’s a wow factor just bad quality overall
@Pica-pau, o Biruta! the dub problem actually doesnt have to do with the dialects, because actors have to take mandrin speaking certification test. or something like that. i do know that there are some cases where the lines are not allowed by the governing body or the director suddenly wanted to changes lines then they dub. but thats different case if they dub from ep 1 all the way to the end haha
我想認識成龍.。This man is the reason why I started to learn mandarin. Fun fact: I remember that I fell in love with chinese language because of 成龍 's movies. I didn't know the difference between 廣東話 (Cantonese) and 普通話 (mandarin) many years ago. Now I can distinguish between both languages. After getting used to 國語i sounds, I realised that the language that I had wanted to learn was 粵語 (Cantonese) 🤣. He's a Cantonese native speaker. Maybe I'll learn his language after getting some fluency in mandarin.
Shenyue is very talented actress but when it comes to romantic scenes she becomes shy. She is a very sweet and simple girl from a very respectable family. She need to be be open up as other actors in c- ent are very comfortable in doing romantic scenes but she becomes reluctant. We love her very much and for me she is the best.💜💛
The discipline of JC is very different to the young generation like he said when he's a young actor he will try to be the first to arrived and then practice all lines and moves and he wants to be the last to leave after the set thats its how his self discipline and love for his craft and the reasons for his many awards and success is his never ending progress to learn new things and practice.
That’s not what he said though. He said when he was young he made the mistake of arriving late and sleeping at the set. He asked the youngsters not to repeat his mistakes.
I c zheng ye cheng 😍 Salute to the legend Jackie chan. Growing up watching his action movies. Even had ambition to become police officer because of police story 😁
Thank you for sub. Ah! I saw a small clip b4 of them had to learn Cantonese. Didn't know this show has Jackie. 👏👏 Jackie being real and honest. Keep training, learning, don't mind hurt, and keep good reputation.
I believe that Jackie's time safety was not emphasized. It was always important in USA. We have numerous safety meetings to educate employees to do everything safely. It's tragic that he broke so many bones because nobody educated and protected him. His accidents could have been avoided. Good action movies should not build on crippling the actors or actresses.
safety was important in Jackie's time as well. The actual problem was investors were super stingy, and director prefers to direct the resource into making the movie better, because of the small budget there were a lot of genius low budget safety features were created. It was definately a tough time back then.
@@haoye2413 not true. Jackie said in a documentary that he prefers to just do it. When they arrive at a location and the director and safety teams would figure out how to do the stunt he said he told the director that he'd just do it. He wasn't that into technical stuff when he was younger.
@@NStalgia070 I think that has to do with Jackie's knowledge based on personal experience vs the technical team perhaps over-prepping for something very simple in Jackie's eye/ he knows what he can do and had tried similar things countless times.
@@masquerade41120 yes, specially if you're confident in your abilities you're sometimes like meh I'll just do it. Plus Jackie hates wasting time that's why he got irritated with the American production team because there were too many time limits and he just wanted to keep working.
Project A and Police Story Movies always be my favourite thing to watch. Can't stop watching it, always head back watching it monthly. That's how good the movie are.
That is why asian fighting movies are always epic because of those actors that actually know how to fight. It shows only 1 cut it looks like a good choreography. Unlike western where you'll get epilepsy with all the cuts just to turn or punch or kick
One of the most important things in life is to have a good mentor to teach the younger generations. A brilliant mentor is worth more than great riches in life.
I grew up watching Jackie Chan's movies, what I want to see more is Jackie Chan starring in a serious kind of action movies like equalizer, he looks so serious now and serious kind of character in action films will and would fit him right,
瀋月 looks different in this video. I am so used to see her with a short hairstyle, therefore it was so difficult to recognise her until I read her name.
to all of you young actor actress listen to this legend. really listen to Jackie Chan, he's master of this so listen to whatever he said. if y'all want to be really good actor in future
So true. These days, most kids are only good at texting and using the internet to ask for help when they experience a minor inconvenience like a flat tire or leaky faucet.
i can imagine being an actor and the people around you only giving praises instead of criticism just to gain favor. luckily they got Jackie to tell them the hard truth
The title makes no sense. What does he mean actors are traffic? Traffic only means two things car traffic or Internet traffic (like hits to a website )
I can understand why Jackie is saying this. There are Chinese dramas I have watch where it is very obvious double are used. The body portion is obviously a male doing the action for a female lead. Once I have seen it it kinda just snap the flow.
I agree esp Chinese actors… there’s a lot of good stories but their acting is flop… tbh Chinese movies are more famous before but kmovies flipped the situation now…
Def kmovies and kdramas are more popular and you are right about the acting in Chinese drama and Chinese movies. Like the plot on some of them are good buttt the acting and action scenes are eh
