Mitsubishi: Jackie we need you to make a car ad for us.. Jackie Chan: yes... i will make a movie.. Mitsubishi: no not a whole movie we just need a small 30sec ad.. Jackie Chan: yes i understand, it'll be a 2hr film and the evo 3 will be the star... Mitsubishi: no no no we only need a small ad to run on TV.. Jackie Chan: yes yes i'll even make a new full length song about the evo 3... Mitsubishi: no this is not necessary.. Jackie Chan: give me 10 evo3's and i'll make it.. Mitsubishi: fine.. *hang up phones Jackie Chan: lol suckers... that was too easy...
Pixelers It’s got nothing to do with that. The drivetrain’s basic layout on an EVO is transverse. That transmission he was practicing shifting on is set up longitudinal. This effects whether the shifter is mounted directly to the tranny or via linkage from the unibody. Totally different shifter feel.
@@shibinmiqbal if not wrong the specialy made evos are called Jackie Chan editions. They have upgraded engine parts and including some custom mades and other famous car parts from Japan.
@Candido Villanueva or what if he's Hans father and taught him how to drift and didn't have a relationship with him anymore because he was with TK doing crimes with the yakuza.
I watched this movie with my dad when I was 10 years old… After I watched this movie I knew I wanted an Evo… Almost 20 years later I now own a 2013 Evo X :)
What a car, what a movie. Having a tuned EVO in the 90s was like having a car from far in the future. You could leave most supercars of the time for dead of the line...i think if the guys working at Mitsubishi in the 90s saw what they are making now they would be ashamed.
I think the only ugly EVO is the last one , EVO 10 , all the previous models were wild and beautiful plus the technology they had on , Active Yaw Control with three settings : Tarmac , Gravel, Snow ! my favorite from Grand Turismo 2 (play station era) was the Tommy Makinen Edition and right after that my second best was EVO 8,5 MR .
This show sparked so much flame in Jackie Chan that he actually and I do mean legitimately have his own garage that does modification for Evos back in Hong Kong as of now and he even have a few special modified Evo 8 and 9.
I have a evo4, best car ive ever driven. The steering is really direct and fast, it takes corners as if it went on tracks, and the 4g63 is really punchy, especially between 5 to 7k rpms
The movie that made me switch from being a Subie fan to a total Mitsubishi. Owned an Evo 6, Galant VR4 91, Legnum VR4 99, Galant VR4 99, Pajero Sport 17. Yet to collect a GTO 99 and a TME Evo Love Mitsubishi thanks to the martial arts legend Jackie
Oh RU-vid suggestions you've done me well. Jackie Chan? Racing? Mitsubishi? Heel toe? Kung Fu gear shifting!? AND Jackie singing! Perfect start to a day
@@brunostiglitz7535 Any idiot can do it, but it takes a lot of skill to do it like pro racers do it, in the span of about a quarter of a second. I was able to get it down to about half a second in my EM-2 Civic, but then again, the EM-2 is a piece of shit. I have since sold it and bought an FC. I can't really do heel and toe because my knee hits the steering wheel, but she's so much fun to drive. I can kind of do heel and toe, but I have to tap the throttle two or three times to get the revs high enough to shift without stopping myself from steering, which is actually what Ryosuke did in his JDM FC, which has even less leg room than my USDM FC. The curse of being a tall guy who loves Japanese cars
@@E46_wagonlover only under power. I properly setup fwd car can handle just as neutrally as a rwd car. Rwd cars simply have more grip when accelerating out of a corner.
An* evo 3.... Not a .... Sorry.. Stuff like that triggers my ocd. Like if someone were to say "Look over there, at that person holding an balloon. . just doesn't sound right ya know?
Not quite, he uses 2 different Lancer Evolution, a 2nd gen was used for the scene where it collides with the blue Skyline thats leaving the pit lane Later on he uses 2 different 3000GTs during the main race
@stephen kroll Yeah, but these cars are old. As much as I love them, being an owner of an '88 FC convertible, the reality is that parts wear out over time. They're going to become harder and harder to find and eventually, all we'll have is the shitty new cars that are nothing but computers on wheels with no soul. All this "safety" equipment they sell you is for the sole purpose of offsetting the danger caused by all the distractions they give you. They cause a problem, then charge you for the solution. The most tech I want in my car is variable power steering and ABS, but I can live without both of those
Yeah totally legendary combination ! I still have good memories from my EVO 7 , wasn't tuned , I had it stock but it was an awesome car . Cars now are less thrilling and more complicated .
The winner goes to, some said he had four arms and doesn’t have a feet and had claim that he and mona lisa is actually married and leonardo da vinci is their son. What we know his name is The Stig
