JACKPOT! WE FILLED THE TRUCK WITH DUMPSTER DIVING GOODIES!! 

This video and another were utube recommended to me. I put it on the TV so my husband and I could watch together. The first thoughts that went through our minds were not nice ones! We could not believe anyone would dumpster dive for food! Then of course having run our local food pantry for 5 years we could not believe so much good food was tossed out instead of given to a food pantry! As we continued to watch we were dumb founded at the amount of food that was in these dumpsters, like the 36 cases of green tea. The chocolate in the other video really shocked me, I know how much that brand costs! We were also saddened that anyone in our country would need to do this to obtain food. This video and another changed every negative thought. How blessed your community is have you! That blessing box is the most awesome idea I have seen yet in dealing with feeding the proud and poor. No paper work, erc..all of that entrusted to God! No locks, no limits. This has encouraged us to start the same thing here. While we are in a sparsely populated area, the need is great. These type of items are never given in food pantries .We don't have but a very few dumpsters here ...however a dollar store is. Due to pressing matters;, it would be a a couple of months. We fulley intend to have this available by summer. Thank you so much for the beautiful idea and videos explaining this. May God bless and protect you!!

Brought back memories of my dad when I saw your hubby in t-shirt and shorts even though it is cold. My dad wore a blue under vest and shorts all year round. Didn't matter even in winter. Great haul y’all. I believe out of all the Aldi stores, they toss away 4 tons of bananas each month. Most still look fantastic. It’s crazy. Where we live bananas went from .42 cents a pound to .72.. in one week. Not counting all the other items they toss away. I absolutely hate to see good items go to waste. Meat is so expensive, gas, everything has almost doubled & tripled. What a tea score. Thank u guys for all y’all do for your community..

A good adjustable head lamp will make 2 available to look through all that good stuff in the dumpster. Good haul.

Loving the garden beds, you should keep an eye out for some of the fresh produce in the dumpsters and use that to stock your garden 🙂 some things like tomatoes, potatoes, some lettuce can grow form the base, pumpkins, spring onions, cucumbers, peppers, chili’s etc etc. you could fill your whole garden with fresh produce that you sourced from the dumpster 👍🏻

My husband took four of those plant, food grade white containers cut the bottoms off and filled them with dirt and manure and grows more than we can use veggies. First year we had a garden was over an acre,I picked over 4 5 gallons of tomatoes a day. I canned over 100 quarts of green beans about 50 quarts of black eyed peas and can’t remember how much we gave away!! But I’m not able to work like that now days!!!

Potatoe flakes can be handy to stretch a meatloaf or give a baked casserole a thicker and hardy texture. If you are making potatoes salad and you added too much mayo or dressing. Add the potatoes flakes and they will hydrate by using the mayo/ dressing, side-benefit the flakes will give creamy mashed potatoes look and mouthfeel. Noticed you folks passing on the salad bags. Coleslaw ones can also be used in one-pot meals. Browned pork chops or ground beef go well with cabbage. When the meat is nearly done put in the coleslaw veggies. They contain cabbage and carrots when pan-fried would take to whichever spices or sauces you might add to them.

That Italian dressing is the best to marinate briskets and roast even steaks. Then cover with tinfoil and back at a low temperature my goodness at the tenderness and the flavors that pop. It is awesome!!!!!❤
