I don’t know, Mark got into some beef with the DID/OSDD community over what he said in a video and even though he was called out for it, he never apologized. My partner has DID and they are nothing like what media makes them out to be, hell I’m even in relationships with the different people that live in that body. I love them all as they are and after what Mark did, I haven’t watched him since.

Thankfully, Jack hasn't been very active on youtube during this time. He's taken several mental health breaks this year and has been uploading a bit sporadically, so I'm really hoping he hasn't seen too many of those comments. It's still gotta hurt to see how many there are each time he does come back though. I wish there was a way to IP ban the people who are making the bot/alt accounts.

As a person who is Jack's age, I just want to tell anybody who is younger than we are something that might be hard to hear- when you get to be our age, you'll find out that happy people do NOT act the way those commenters do. I guarantee you, those people making those comments are not leading happy lives. They're dealing with something- bullying, depression, abusive parents, loss of their own, family illness, poor grades, rejection, loneliness, poverty... something. I know that's frustrating to hear, but it's the truth. Now that you know this, I urge you to look for proof of this in your own life. Look at people around you and how they act and what they're dealing with. You'll find it to be true. Once you really start to observe it and see that it's true, it'll change how you see things.

But attention fuels a lot of people to do crazy things, it's why a dude screwed a hot-pocket on Vine and and why many siblings will often set out on blood-feuds to become the favourite child. Of course, the thing with kids is that they learn early what gets others to notice them. If a parent only pays attention when the kid is screaming and flailing on the floor, they'll only do it more often because the clearly attention-getting holy grail, tantrums and public displays of misplaced aggression, is the best way to obtain the love and emotional support of another so they were taught. That's not the case for everybody, but I've come to find that's usually the case. If they act out to this level, it's typically because they were ignored a lot as a kid and at this point will now do anything to maintain an audience. Taking people like these to crowded, well-lit restaurants during a breakup in the hopes that they won't make a scene won't work for most people of this character description, as crowds may only make them more likely to try to attract the listen of at least one other table before throwing a new kind of fit.

I doubt they all do it for attention. I think there is a part of this group that has a "kick them when their down" mentality. Normally people who relish in seeing people suffering. (Note, this doesn't mean they had a poor childhood, nor that they are a psychopath or sociopath. It means that it is something that they like doing. Some people just like doing this sort of thing.) If you are an asshole to someone on a regular day, it has a relatively low chance of irritating people. However, doing it to someone when they are already down, gives a bigger punch. Not to be rude, but it's a well-known tactic for demoralizing the population.

I was actually talking to him about trolls that go as far as this and to defend MAPs, and asked if they were just sociopaths. He explained to me that, for him at least, he doesn't take any pleasure out of peoples suffering, he doesn't feel anything about it either way. He explained he could totally do horrible things to people and not feel any guilt or empathy towards them, but it wouldn't please him and he knows he'd end up with more trouble than what it's worth, so he doesn't. People who do these sort of things take pleasure from harming others, and that's not always the case with people with ASPD. He said most people with ASPD who decide to be harmful will harm for personal gain, but there's no gain from stuff like this. Of course, they could have ASPD, since it exists on a spectrum, or they could just be assholes who take pleasure from hurting people.
