A video on scale-based Jerry-isms would be great. So, the different ways he would approach simply going up or down scales that give that lovely cascading feel.... You do some of that in this video, but a whole 'concept' video would be great, I think.
thank you for this fantastic lesson. Super challenging, super sound! I'll be working on this for months as I did FotM. How on earth did you achieve the tone on that rhythm track? Is it the same guitar you are teaching the lesson with? It's so rich
Cannot fathom why this video has only 252 views. Fantastic lesson -- great feel -- good explanations. You have really helped my lead playing over my Franklin's Tower loop with my Boss RC10R.

Yes there is! I rarely use it on the direct signal, though I love modulation on delays and reverb. I like it on this track. I feel connected to that BFA version I grew up on, where he was using the phaser. I also think it adds a little shimmer to the HB pickups tone which can be a little too thick sometimes. Thanks for checking out the video…I hope you poke around and steal a bunch of licks. Cheers, Jack
Thank you John! I hope you’ll take a look and listen to a few other tutorials. Not everything here is GD based (though there is a lot🍄😊). I hope you pick up some new ideas and please consider subscribing. Best, Jack
Yeah...Herring is a monster. That said, I like/prefer Garcia even though he’s not as polished as Jimmy. JG just has a very distinctive “voice” on the instrument and was an amazing writer and improviser. Thanks for watching!
@@jacksnax4guitar460 I do A > Cmaj7 > F7 > E7 (by sliding up the D7 position) > A But it's still not quite right though and there's not much agreement online
