Jackson Coosa X Bonafide RVR119 on the water review

I tried the yupik pegs in the tri track, and then the coosa x pegs. Both had the same problem of riding against the side of the boat as the tri track is recessed some. The Yupik pegs worked a bit better but were still cocked. The ridge on the coosa x pegs couldnt engage the track too well to keep it from rotating. It would need a hole drilled through and a second t bolt added. Both t bolts would need to be a bit longer. It will still be cocked unless spacers were installed. I'd love a solid solution for this as I would love to have pegs mounted to the tri track since ill rarely be using fishing rods. I'd love to have both sets of pegs so that I could move my feet as needed. I still like pegs out wide for stability.

This was a good video overall and nice to see several boats. Certainly nice for a first on water video. Your videos keep refining and getting better. It would have been nice to hear the comments and impressions as each was paddled. Especially comparing one to another. I'm 6'2 with a 32" inseam. I took my coosa x through some class 2+ to class 3 whitewater when I was in tennessee. While i did swim twice, it was solid and predictable even though it was the first time on it nad was coldish water. One swim was my mistake, the second was that I had to make a choice as the line switched back quickly in a z shape and I didnt think I could get to so I tried to boof off the ledge straight vs hitting it sideways. I swam on landing. Overall people were impressed with how I was able to handle such a large boat in such whitewater. I started to get used to the centerline footpegs, though like you i wish they were further out. I might try switching them to the tri track, or take the pegs off my Yupik to see if they would work. I don't fish for now so I dont need to store rods in it. I saw this tip from Chris the feral one that is critical with the jackson ez high low seats. You MUST secure the seat to the back rail with a rope or short strap. If you go upside down, the seat can come out of the track. I used a 3ft NRS cam strap. Both times I swam in the white water, the seat came out and only the strap kept me from losing it. It also makes for a nice backup should a seat strap break.

The RVR119 capacity IS NOT 425lbs. it is 340lbs by bonafides statement on their website where they demand you subtract the boat weight from the listed capacity numbers. Many other videos show that its even lower than that. Its dangerous and misleading and we in the community, especially retailers, need to point this out to prospective buyers. I was burned when I got my ss127 with its claims of 475lbs weight capacity, only to get it on the water and getting about 350lbs in it and realizing it was getting close to max weight. Then a couple months later, videos came out exposing this. Had I known it I never would have purchased it. I sold it recently and will NEVER own another one as long as they keep doing this deceptive and misleading practice.

Honestly, I didn't notice the video was longer than normal. It was a very fun video to watch. You spoke of the foot pegs in the Coosa X, but how was the legroom in either one? Can you do a comparison video on the Kupik and the Bite? Things like legroom, weight capacity, ease of paddling and stability. I mainly use my Pescador Pro on lakes for fishing, so I am looking for a new fishing kayak to replace it. Thanks for the great informative videos!

I have a 2019 coosa hd, and it's time to upgrade. i was wondering if the X does as well as the hd on flat water. My hd is not the fastest girl, but i can move at a good speed Can the X do that
