Jackson Hole! Meeting up with Premier 1 Driver 

I remember the first time I watched your videos last year, I was so inspired and so fascinated by airplanes, and what you do as a pilot. One year later, I'm currently taking classes because of YOU, and waiting for my first solo, Thank You for making my dreams alive!

After reading the article in "Twin & Turbine", it gave me a deeper appreciation for how Max has progressed. I will say that his family having "money" surely enabled him to progress faster than the normal pilot could just from a financial standpoint but you still need to to put in the hard work and have the skills to to able to succeed. Well done Max!

Max, after I watched your meet-up in Jackson Hole video, I tapped the link for your magazine interview . I was blown away with what I read. I came from a similar family upbringing . My father traveled for business . I used to take him to the airport and pick him up when he returned. I started by collecting his ticket envelopes from all the different airlines that he flew on. I expressed my interest in aviation and possibly becoming a pilot but my dreams were never fulfilled . I still to this day in my 70’s retain my passion for aviation. I have learned so much by watching different pilots on RU-vid. I started by watching Premier 1 Driver on the tube. He is everything I would expect a professional pilot to be. I now live my life vicariously by watching professional pilots such as yourself and Greg to fulfill my dreams. My enthusiasm never wavers . If I can’t physically be in the cockpit with someone like yourself, I enjoy the experience with riding along . I commend You and Greg on your professionalism and the way you make user friendly videos. When you flew single pilot to Jackson Hole for the meetup with Greg, I was in the right seat accompanying you. I have the utmost respect and admiration for someone so young but mature beyond their years! Loved every minute of the interview since I knew very little about your personal life. CONGRATULATIONS, from a RU-vid admirer. Stay safe and avoid, “ COVID”!

I like your intelligent and "egoless" presentation. There is another RU-vidr, out of Florida, a commercial light aircraft pilot, who is so obsessive and caught up with himself that I wouldn't feel comfortable flying with him.

Just built (from scratch) a $3k pc Total high end 😛and got saitek controller, foot pedals, and throttles. All for my kid (🙄 yeah, suuuuree)....New F-Sim 2020....flying KSTP to KDLH daily....no offense, but TBD 930 IS MY FAV.....cj4 is nice too, but I’m still in that sweet spot of power vs, not too much power...keep it up Max, we all like you!

Hi Max, You have had many co pilots lately and sometimes your mom, so seeing you alone really drives home that you are flying that jet single hand idly. Yep, Jackson Hole is definitely a place I have to get to among others in the northern states if I can ever make it to the USA again. I fly into KJAC in P3D4.5 with ORBX scenery but the problem is.....you can’t get out of the airport.

In remember it was pretty busy that day with the USAF 737 right up near A2 you taxied past and of course the normal insane summer traffic. Love Jackson Hole. Went skiing there years ago. Snowing and windy in the evening flying in on a regular commercial flight. Pilot had full rudder and aileron cranked in due to a strong cross wind. He dragged a wing tip on the snowy runway upon landing.

Nice flight! Always that pilot discipline. When the camera is off do you still verbalize and articulate the checklist and cross checks? I have done so, adds a certain melodic cadence to the CL sequence, helps focus. Drives the Mrs. crazy. :-)

Jackson Hole is nice chill getaway for sure! I like hiking up around Jackson Lake for epic photo ops and I hear the ice fishing there is awesome in the winter. I like hitting up Polo factory store and the old cowboy western watering holes around the square when we're there too. We've always taken the motorhome bus up there but 2RF approach view of the Tetons is totally jaw-dropping epic! 🤙🏼🛩

Dunoir, at the top of one of my favorite flight sim approaches into KJAC! A RU-vid channel by the name of Fangzhan Aviation Studios did a Prepar3D video of a runway 19 ILS approach into Jackson Hole. Great stuff, ever since I’ve had a great appreciation for the airport. Of course the scenery looks way better in real life, so you win 😎👍

You flew right over Togwotee Pass... the route I've taken probably 75 times driving into Jackson from the west. Gotta say, the view is better from an aircraft.

Nice video. One thing I wish you and premier 1 driver would do is record out the front a few times with a regular camera. While go pro are great, the fiah eye lens kills what your pointing out. I do photography and if there is any way film a landing with a 50mm lens. This gives almost a true eye view. Even a 28mm is way better than the fiah eye view.

Been there on the ground in real life, flown both runway 01 and 19 approaches in the sim, and I just love seeing another one of your videos on approach from the air. It's so hard to capture on video how awesome the area is, and I can only imagine how much better the 19 approaches are in real life. There is something uniquely special about Jackson Hole, and I hope in the not too distant future I'll be able to fly in myself. Thanks for sharing, Max! Question during the video, what point do you set your altimeters to the local altimeter setting during your descent? I know the transition altitude is 18,000 ft MSL (in North America), but what is your normal practice or checklist item for doing so (I may have missed it in the video)? Thanks!

Beautiful plane! But the BEEutiful 390GM is gorgeous..thx guys for taking me from a lap filled with folded charts, approaches and almost constantly hand flying, and into the 21st Century. When I got my private, Apple was just coming out with PC's, we were required to disseminate raw weather data, work out detailed flight plans etc by hand and pen. The 73's showed us what was coming, and I saw more than one pilot washout because of inability to integrate and properly operate the automation. This is when modern crew management began to, thank God, take hold
