I bought this guitar and the black variant with the floyde and swapped out all the electronics and hardware, sanded and painted the necks to match the body and had the frets done by my guitar tech, they’re killer guitars now. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a cheap project guitar
@@benjimusicandgamimg9773 I don't know anything beyond what I found when somewhat researching it. It wasn't nearly as difficult as trying to identify a Chinese SKS.
I have JS22 Dinky and it's amazing for cheap guitar. Tuning goes off quick if using trem but trem blocked tuning stays okay. I really like those Jackson pickups for metal at least my JS22 ones and, i bet 32's have same ones. I think you had pretty good sound with those pickups.
I got that guitar and my perception is different in some points. Hardware: Tuner are absolutely ok, eletronics as well, I see no reason to change in any way. Even the pickups are surprisingly good at least for rock and metal. There is only a little difference to my Dimarzios, cause they are more dynamic and cleaner in the highgain lows. But I feel no need to swap the stock ones. Fretboard: Wood is purpleheart and it LOOKS dry by nature. Apart from that a dry wood is the best you can have in a guitar. I recommend everybody who buys a budget Jackson to open the neck pocket. Usually there are lots of chips, bad manufacturing. Those chips enlarge the neck angle and make it impossible to have a low buzzfree action. I think overall you did a good review and I agree with you ratings.
I have a JS32 from 2022, bridge is ok at best, I did not expect much at that price but the saddles are very soft, again does the job but I would expect better quality saddles, decent steel saddles are not that expensive, just raise the price a few bucks if need be! The tuners are anything but smooth but hold tune, they do the job but they should be replaced with quality tuners with a good ratio as a first upgrade, tuning is a pain. Pickguard is plastic junk that scratches very easilly, keep that in mind, it will look like shit very fast. The pickups are very very hot ... too hot, cleans and low gain are brittle and lack low end, but again not something that needs immediate replacing since I would not expect someone to buy this guitar mostly to play clean! Build quality, fret work and the nut cutting is spot on, which is impressive especially at that price! If you are willing to do some upgrades, this guitar will play and sound like a sub 1000$+ guitar without any shame.
Hey! I'm a huge Alexi Laiho fan and currently trying to decide between 2 guitars. One is the ESP LTD Alexi - 200 and the other Jackson RRX24 Black with yellow bevels to reference the "wildchild". The specs are similar, though I would prefer the neckthrough construction in the Jackson. But which one would you choose in terms of playability, quality and preference? Thank You!
Good Question, i don't like the reverse headstock and all the extra knobs on the new RRx24s. But, if you don't mind these things, i think the jackson can be the slightly better option if you can get one that has good quality(send it back if you get one that doesn't). Just because the jackson shape is a bit closer to what Alexi used, an has an aesthetic more associated with Alexi(at least the black with yellow bevels does). If you get an LTD Alexi 200 - you can buy pinstripe decals for it. I have a video of the Alexi LTD 200 on my channel if you want to check it out. I hope this helps.
Looks Awesome😎🤙Are they well balanced standing up? I just got done shooting a review of a firefly explorer and the neck causes it to dive down when standing
@@SearchingForTone These JS32s they are pretty well balanced. I hear good things about Fireflies, I was looking into those EVH models - I’ll have to check your video out later.
