Jackson State "Sonic Boom of the South" Band entering the Liberty Bowl Stadium during the 25th Annual Southern Heritage Classic here in Memphis, TN. Saturday, September 13, 2014.
@kandiecarter maybe Fred Jones will do the right thing and properly negotiate the contract to bring JSU back to the classic. The whole city is missing out without J-State! Memphis took a loss
That sailor with the snare drum at 3:04 like WT,lol!I don't care what nobody say,The Boom band best band ever!No other band can match their tradition.Im not even mad if another band copied their style, cause I would do it too, lol! My nephew been a fan since he was born!We bought him drums and he would bang them suckas like WT!When he was 8,he told me he was gonna play football at JSU and play the drums in The Boom, lol! So at halftime,he was gonna change clothes to the band uniform and go bang them drums, lol. It was funny, but I didn't laugh in his face. But he's 15 now and just gonna play football for JSU!.When I tell him about it,he say I didn't tell u that Uncle Mike, lol.I told him,I know u remember, cause he was grinning! But I never wanted to tell him what he couldnt do,cause that would put the limits on him.But he mastered that trumpet and he didn't sign up for band in the 7th grade. It was a class they put on his schedule and he turned it out, lol. He sho nuff turned to Louis Armstrong when he found out none of us couldn't play an instrument. He would play that trumpet all in our face jamming Get Ready, lol!!!
That particular military brigade, of the United States Navy, are majority of color (Hispanic Americans)... Subsequent, several of them became students at JSU and members of the JSU-SBOTS ✊️💙🤍💙🤍
