@@ProfessorSwiff grambling sat there the year before, they switched it around because they didn't want our band sitting in the area we were on this video because of tickets etc.. it was the athletic director at the time. They moved it because they want a section deemed student section... Had nothing to do with band.. Every year since 03, our school got more strict in terms of the band and the field.. Truth be told, alumni etc like the bands sitting there because it was closer to us and more exciting... So they upset a lot of people when they stopped it
Damn I feel old. We played so much heat 2001-2004. Kevan, chief arranger for the band wrote golden time of day when he was a student. JSU UAPB 5th quarter was always long af. In 2000 5th quarter lasted until 2am 😂. The band couldn’t eat after the game because the restaurant was closed. So much undocumented history during this era 😔. JSU 🦀 01
Wow so nostalgic that was game from my pass our 5th quarter used to be super long back then and yes we were yelling in sync to every band we were warriors.😂😂😂
First .. the first round didnt start with Uapb playing M4/remix, the reason we played that was becauae after we let jsu play their alma mater, them niggas started playing get ready or some shit when rhey were suppose to chill and let us play ours...and they were suppose to go first lol... So Mr E had us play M4 right after our alma mater.. but thats not a 5th quarter song lol
JSU trumpets use to be nothing nice!! I think they are trying to get back there. They still have alot to clean up because they still try to scream too hard and end up hitting the wrong notes. But the power is coming back they just have to find a way to make sure they are clean with power!!
Also JSU and SU have consistently been the best HBCU bands for at least 40 years it didn’t just happen overnight. Of course they have down years like everybody but nobody is touching their overall resume over the past 40 years..TXSU was trying but then they fell off
