Jaco Pastorius - John and Mary (Rare Version - John Patitucci Bass) 

My Grandparents names were John and Mary OKUS from Lithuania. My first pro gig was with Bobby Herzog who wrote " Come on Come Over ". Believe it or not folks I was playing my ass off on Bass one night in St. Augustine FL and I felt the spirit of Jaco attach himself onto me. I knew it was him! Once you enter the spiritual plane these events are not unusual. I believe Jaco Pastorious is at peace and he's finding ways to express himself through willing souls. This is how " John and Mary " was composed.

Such a stunningly beautiful, highly spiritual and heart-warming redition of one of Jaco's best compositions ever. I miss that beautiful soul and friend - his sensitivity, shyness, crazyness, rabiat fun, clownish attitudes, prankster character, spiituality and especially his calmness when he was really comfortable and balanced. this tune and 3 views are my favorite. this one i think a bit more too ... this is pure love expressed in Music. that's what made Jaco so unique, not just an incredibile bass player, but a fine original composer

His intonation is pretty off at times but still cool version of the song with the doublebass.
