There was a time before where Kit and Krystal from "Nintendo minute" which used to be a video series on the official Nintendo channel,they suggested to the highers ups or something "Hey,we should do a Pokémon nuzlocke on Nintendo minute" and they immediately shot the idea down,saying something like "That's as bad as hacking" or something stupid because I think they thought nuzlockes were modded or something

I had a similar experience. I tried cigars, and smoked them with friends one summer, then decided that I wasn't into the commitment and decided to just stop. Thank God I didn't end up addicted.

I thought you meant that they were working together in game and I was just thinking: "how would they work against each other without hurting themselves?" And I feel like that would be an interesting twist on a soul link.

You know, technically, both make a certain amount of sense to find in the wild. I mean, Rhyperior is the evolved form of a Kanto Pokémon and there's a whole in-game event around Arceus and the Creation Trio. Maybe Arceus just went to the ruins on its own and some random Rhydons found a bunch of Protectors that fell off a truck.
