Jacob Batalon genuinely was the perfect friend in homecoming. I loved watching that movie so much with the family I can't explain. To see him traverse off onto his own path now with his own series just shows he hasn't taken the opportunity for granted. Let's gooooo JACOB!!!!

They easily could write a story about that the spell didn't really work because Ned has some sort of magic himself and the spell and the magic fights over his conscience. Disfragmenting his mind so far that he believes that Spider-Man killed Green Goblin who was his "best" friend. Boom. That's your story, GO!

what i want is for the MCU to pursue that story thread that Ned Leeds is Magical. SALAMANGKERO! 🪄🎩😁 as he trains his Magical abilities but constantly being around technology (he is after all the Guy in the Chair) that could be a through-line on how to bring in Magic-Technology user Dr Doom. kids like Ned are rare being gifted in both techie and magic. that would likely attract the attention of Von Doom and perhaps unwittingly make Ned an accidental villain, which will then pay a bit of homage to how his character originally was in the comics.

Ned is the hobgoblin in the comics though lol. He was for sure a villain. The hope is that this Peter has a trajectory similar to the other Peter’s but instead of fighting GreenGoblin Jr it’s the Hobgoblin. They also did a much better job of creating the friendship between Peter and Ned and would be shattering to see Ned go dark. With the removal of his memory though it could happen.
