@@Leonecta Chabon, sabes lo que debe ser traducir a Jacob. Habla rapido y encima traducir por momentos teoria musical, te la regalo. Alta energia tiene Collier.
I love how he wants to give us the tools and understanding to start on our own musical journeys. He’s not trying to be the expert, or preach his own theory system. He’s just a humble dude explaining that we can discover our own way of seeing and hearing music so that we can enjoy music as much as, or even more than, he does, even if we do it differently.
imagine being a translator with no music knowledge and having to comprehend Jacob's long and intense trains of thought and then repeat them with accuracy; what a nightmare hahah. this guys great though
2:52 Jacob answers the question "What kind of advice could you give to someone who doesn't have their whole lives dedicated to music? How could they approach studying it?"
that translator dude... a SAINT lol... Jacob didn’t give him even close to a chance as he was just following his train of thoughts, fully self-absorbed & immersed, seemingly unable to control it in order to give the translator the space he needed... (while those who catch english easily are absolutely delighted with this refreshing sharing of innovative thoughts & concepts) but that’s because he isn’t used to be translated live: yet ANOTHER thing he needs to & will learn overtime and probably master as well i’m sure (lol) 😉🙂 I think some day he will look back on these masterclass sessions & he’ll be horrified at how bad he managed the translation part of it, if only because, probably VERY LITTLE of the treasures he was passionately trying to convey actually made it to these people’s brains... although they witnessed the HEART of it for sure 😄👍
@@fredherfst8148 He performed at the Royal Theatre as past of Jazzfest. It was one of the truly most amazing shows I have ever witnessed! Maybe he'll return sometime down the road........
@@nempla La parte 3 termina en media de una explicación sobre la modulación microtonal y la parte 4 empieza en medio de una explicación sobre la armonía negativa. Claramente hay un salto. Pero gracias de todos modos por compartir!
The Xbox cameras WEREN'T tracking your skeleton, Jacob, at least not directly...maybe to some degree if the "spots" or whatever stayed directly between your bones and the camera.
I have never seen a translator who has been so obviously deleted from the debate but refused to give up. He was translating so poorly it's insulting to the message Jacob was bringing across.
Blaž Bohinc nah, poor guy, Jacob didn’t give him even close to a chance as he was just following his train of thoughts, fully self-absorbed & immersed, seemingly unable to control it in order to give the translator the space he needed, (while those who catch english easily are absolutely delighted with this refreshing sharing of innovative thoughts & concepts) but that’s because he isn’t used to be translated live: yet ANOTHER thing he needs to & will learn overtime and probably master as well i’m sure (lol) 😉🙂 I think some day he will look back on these masterclass sessions & he’ll be horrified at how bad he managed the translation part of it, if only because, probably VERY LITTLE of the treasures he was passionately trying to convey actually made it to these people’s brains... although they witnessed the HEART of it for sure 😄👍
@@uvi_music I don't doubt that! What I mean is translating Jacob is a serious challenge as he goes through complex musical concepts at the speed of sound...
Pascal Gastaud true, but it isn’t the fault of the translator that Jacob speaks like this Ohh I understand what you mean now, I thought you meant poor as in the translator is bad
