I was expecting him to come out and “show his true nature” at some point in the movie but down until he died even after oliver did all of that horrible stuff he still let him have his party and even though he was mad he didn’t tell anyone about what oliver did. It’s like a complete flip of stereotypes and one of the little things that makes this movie a (weird) masterpiece

I honestly don't know why I find him so captivating? But in every movie I see him in, even before I knew he was a well known actor, I was captured by his screen presence. I'm must say, those two or three very disgusting scenes don't take away from the fact that this film is an extremely beautiful piece of art. Brideshead/Ripley references aside, I hadn't seen a film that depicted the decadence of the high classes so well in a very long time.
