Yeah, Cornette is absolutely right about Jcob Fatu. If AEW got Fatu and the Dynasty and used them right AEW would have started better for sure. Instead let's hire the Bucks friends and go with their ideas. How has that worked out for them?

To be clear Jim said that he wouldn't come out of retirement for anybody, but if there was somebody in the wrestling world that he would like to manage it would be Jacob.
I think the idea of managing Punk vs Roman and Heyman appealed to him, even if just to get Heyman to finally hit him on the right damn knee after all this time, lol. Also I reckon If FTR had gone back to the WWE at some point, you probably could have convinced him to work a short program managing them I bet.
@@jaybee4288he has good relationship with WWE, he and Vince have remained good friends… and they talk about him freely on WWE now and if you watch wrestling long enough his is a name that will eventually pop up as a manager for the Midnight Express and Yokozuna and as the head booker of OVW when they had Batista, Cena, Lesnar and Orton. He is one of the masters of getting heat, only Heenan, Fuji or Hart were better.
Jim speaks VERY highly of Jacob. And it's not hard to see why, very surprised WWE haven't come calling especially with the whole "bloodline" storyline. Imagine this guy as Roman's enforcer. Like I know this guy got some skeletons in his closet but doesn't anybody believe in second chances anymore?
I believe they actually gave him a call and an offer in 2020/2021 but he said it came just a lil too late, right after he resigned with MLW. Both AEW & WWE reached out after he’d already signed. Hopefully he can find his way to wwe man, one of my fav from the anoa’i family😊
I have watch this guy quite a lot on MLW , he is the real deal...I would love to see both him and Hammerstone in their with Reigns, Mcintyre,Lesnar etc. Great Talent
Jacob was legit so humbled by being told Corny would only like to manage him, you could hear it in his voice. The man is a real one, a real BEAST and I'm so glad he's getting that Main Roster Money.
This clip shows so just how charismatic Jacob Fatu is. Love how you can see when he catches the cheeseburger reference and chuckles and you can see he’s genuinely taken aback and flattered to hear Cornette would consider unretiring for him. Fatu is 2 for 2 with 10/10 Smackdown appearances - 2024 it’s been an insane year for wrestling and it’s not even July.
And here we are after the most explosive debut in years. Jacob Fatu is the real deal. MLW has been one of my favourite promotions because of Fatu. He has worked hard to get to this point and deserves it 100%
I heard Corny mention Fatu and thats when i became a fan. I didn't even watch MLW Jim talking about Jacob and how great he was I had to see this dude and wow I was so impressed. I wish Corny would manage him in his WWE debut he should be a beast imagine him with Corny against the bloodline and Paul Heyman. I know he will likely be with the bloodline. And now he will be arriving! Only seen a little of his work on MLW, back when the Dynasty and Contra were still a thing. He reminded me of a more agile and versatile Umaga. Look forward to seeing him and also Tama Tonga who I do NOT believe I have seen work before. I feel like it's a great time to be a fan again and I'm cherishing it while it lasts case we hit lull periods again in the future.

Fatu should be the guy who ends Roman Reigns' streak. Although I get the feeling that Triple H is going to go with either the Rock or, for some reason I have in my head, Cody. I don't know why, but it wouldn't shock me if Cody was the guy to go up against Reigns at next year's WrestleMania if they can't get the Rock.
He has probably tried, but Fatu has a brain and eyes and doesn’t want to go anywhere near that shitshow. He is WWE bound now and knew that back then as well.
WWE signing Jacob Fatu is a bigger signing than Ospreay and Okada for AEW. WWE has their next big heel for years, while AEW wound up with two very highly paid guys who will be working mid card matches for years.
Since WWE is worried about him overshadowing Solo, just have Jacob show up and attack Solo and then the Hakusons can join him, and then reveal their allegiance lies with The Rock. sets up for the original Bloodline complete with Solo, both Usos and the Big Dog himself.

I just meet Fatu in person a few weeks ago and I was surprised how humble the dude. He was in the crowd standing by the bar at a GCW event I went to and for some reason nobody seemed to notice or recognize him. Once I went up to him and spoke, took some pictures suddenly everyone was swarming him. Funny thing is that Fatu and Blake Christian are the only two big names that walked around in the audience Taking pictures with their annoying fans like me. The rest of the people like Effy, Danhausen, and Nick Gage were walled off in a separate room charging $20 for a picture with the fans. I'm not criticizing nobody for making money because I know that they depend on it especially in Bidenomics. But that shows you how humble someone like Jacob Fatu is. The dudes literally a hop skip and a jump from being the biggest name in WWE any day now
Jacob is the perfect modern generation prototype of the Samoan wrestling legacy! Sadly, the goofballs at WWE have NOOOO form of idea how to push such talent. They never have since Vince Sr. passed away : / All they want to push is goofy pompadours.
