I noticed that Jools was left speechless at the end of this performance, he wanted to say something, indeed he always says a little something at this point, but he was involuntarily struck silent. This will be a performance rolled out in greatest moments compilations 40 years from now.
Are you familiar with David Peaston? (R.I.P.) He had a brief moment in the sun during the early 90's. He was VERY similar to this gentleman; and he ALSO covered "God Bless The Child". If you like this---I believe you'll appreciate his version too.
Sat down not breaking a sweat with this absolute masterpiece. This guy managed to bring me to tears and make my hair stand on end. Gabriels will go far and they deserve it all ❤
Performances just do not get any better than this. Pause at 3:16 & you get a snapshot of two masters of their trade ecstatic at being able to be part of that moment. Gabriels needs to be top billing at this year's Hootenany, Jacob & Jools need to put together an album of covers & everyone involved just needs to keep being brilliant. We're not worthy.
Jacob’s beautiful voice could move any number of stumbling blocks, or an entire mountain range, with consummate ease. The range, depth, feel and god-given gospel gorgeousness of this perfect performance is simply astonishing!
This guy (from Compton ya'll) is definitely a talent to be reckoned with. I had never heard of him before his *Bennie and the Jets tribute* and have been hungrily looking for every video he has on YT every since. :-) *Love him!!!* That voice is amazing!!!! And Jools Holland was with him on every beat! Don't sleep. Jools is another huge talent.
😮 As usual; you just have to look at Jules Holland's face, looking up mid-performance to his guest 👆 to know that Jules knows the format of the show has just popped the lid right off another jinn-bottle, like a champagne popper, and has answered our collective wishes 🎉 Extraordinary 😮
@@revmd621 Just saw your response! Rance Allen is my absolute favorite gospel singer. Although I don't profess to be a Christian, his singing doesn't "preach". He "testifies". And that is sooo much more relatable to me. "Just Found Me" is my all-purpose spiritual connection song. It NEVER fAILS to leave me, spiritually--on my knees. In a teary mess. THROUGHLY humbled. 🙏🏾
What are some examples of stumbling blocks? Common Stumbling Blocks Article by: Jeff Keller Lacking clarity about what you want. ... Trying to achieve too much at once. ... Not taking enough action. ... Stubbornly sticking with a losing strategy. ... Not taking advantage of the knowledge of qualified people. ... Hampered by limiting beliefs. ... Lacking positive inputs. I can now enjoy this timeless amazement knowing what a stumbling block is. Tetris/Jacob Lusk forever............................;)
I selfishly want Jacob to be involved in the House remix scene now. Imagine having to remix and rework such a heavenly performance as this for the 4 to tha floor masses. As live and important a performance this is, I crave a Michael Watford style mix that will no doubt , top the dance charts by the right remixer. Who can possibly step up to the challenge?
