I like street fighter 2. I thought the Revoltech should've finished the entire line. As well as RAH medicament and Microman. I wish they made chun li with smaller legs, smaller fit arms, medium hair covers / buns and the face of a Chinese woman. To me she never looks right.
I assume they chose black hair and red gloves for Ryu because he’s looked like that more often then not and most people associate Ryu with that look I’m sure they thought about doing it more accurate and it just didn’t look as good. Fei long is probably mostly because of legal issues.
Spot on about fei long. I remember hearing something about Bruce lee estate drama. That could be the reason. But yea. I think they were going for a generic ryu look and the sf2 character select was a after thought or came into play after they finished these ones and before wave 2.cant say I'm too upset, but do wish they did the character select head for ryu at least. I didn't show it but the hair comes up pretty easily. The face is fine, so if someone wanted to they could do a custom hair that looks correct. I'd buy it
The head for ryu seems very street fighter 2 but either way if the line does well you can be sure they are gonna milk the hell outa every version especially ryu. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make a variant with different hair and gloves I think this was just a standard ryu to get their foot out the door mixing elements from different versions.

Yea. I knew I heard something, didn't know the debts. But yea hair color could of been lower cost. Chunli hair is supposed to be brown too. Prob is lower cost. Which if that's the case can't complain, prob help keep that cost low
@@powerturtlebusters Makes me think Chun Li will have black hair too. Brown without highlites probably also doesn't look as good, so it was cost reduced.
If they got capcom, I hope they do. Devils may cry and strider. I have the 1000 toys's Dante. But I wouldn't mind getting other versions of him and a much need Virgil figure
From what juhn said they have access to all. But since they are starting they don't want to have to much to fast. If I get to talk to dude if have a laundry list knowing dang well they can't do any of what I ask for yet. Lol from some darkstalkers to captain commando and Jin from mvc.
Your complaints are valid. Ryu's Street Fighter II gloves should be brown. The figure has Street Fighter III Ryu's colors. Seems like they went for a generic version of all the designs. That doesn't bother me. The problem is if they want to make versions closer to certain games, they didn't start on the right foot. Street Fighter1, Alpha, 3, 4, 5, 6, ect. They all have their own design differences.
Exactly, I wish they gave three different games heads and gloves. But that's me and in my perfect world. Lol. Maybe down the line they will do the correct one or have a running change

Oh yea they are going to get their money's worth out the molds with repaints. I just hope a repaint doesn't take up a spot in the waves. I'd rather repaint be a exclusive. It's literally 50 50 on if they will say screw it and not redo the heads and if they will say we need the line to match and do a running change.
Idk. Depending on how wave 2 turn out. They might go on my top 10 as one spot. All of em. But to be honest I didn't know so many others were looking for sf figures lol

Those sprites were drawn with the aesthetics from the Udon Comics series Edit: there is quite a bit of official artwork where Ryu’s gloves are red. I happen to have some in the Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Collection strategy guide.
I feel like they may have used the street fighter 2 promo art for ryu, where he sometimes has black hair and red gloves most of the time. I'm assuming there is a reason why they made those decisions, and I'm just happy they are making SF figures because shf quit and storm collectibles I don't like enough for the price point. Hopefully, I come across them at target before that June pre-order.
Exactly storm is too high. Even when they came out they were too high for me. And figuarts I'm sorry I still think most those are overrated, especially their power rangers and I don't like their ryu face.
Great review. I still don't have mine but from everything I've seen I agree with your assessments. I also share your thought that these two figures might have been based on SF4, and the branding of USF2 was decided later. I wonder if this will be one of those cases were being early adopter/supporter may not pay off if we see "corrected" versions in the future. I'll take my chances and get these ones anyway, I'm too stoked to see a SF2 line, can't pass it by. BTW I don't think Fei Long looks like he does due to legal reasons - if that was the case then the box wouldn't feature the character screen art.
Nope, don't pass on these, and I'm sure we will get the correct ones as variants of evil ryu. As for fei long. The whole drama with his design idk. But I'm hoping they do a running change. I honestly think that's what's holding chin li. These were prob so far alone but here wasn't. The best solution would of been to give swappable heads of sf4 sf2 and sf alpha. Alpha covers marvel vs capcom design. I might even try sculpting ryu hair myself lol.
@@powerturtlebusters I may modify mine as well. I'll see how I feel about it once they arrive. I think whenever they get to alpha variants it would be nice to see new bodies, at the very least less "tanned" skin colors.

If they got the Tekken license 🤯 Juhn was on unparalleled universe Livestream and Wade asked him about getting the Tekken license and doing Tekken 3 figz and juhn said he's not interested. So whack and disappointing 💔😓 it would be a strong business move because nobody else is doing Tekken figz other than storm and those don't match anything else in 1/12 scale
They would be top tier if they did tekken. I'd say tekken 3 first then go on to the rest. If they did kof line and mk 1 and 2 they would be seen as the next figure company. Imagine Terry Bogard, mk 2 scorpion etc.

The loophole there is, scale and the versions they are doing. Todd's doing the over designed ones and are at 7 inches. Storm is at too big inch lol and are mainly ninjas and no women really at least from what I recall. Jada if given the ok could do the scale they are doing sf. That slightly under 6 inch for mk 1 to 3. I'd rather them stick to mk 2 style first.
I don’t see why people keep comparing these to storms. I get they have the street fighter property as well but storm is like a luxury high end figure. This is more on the lines of a marvel legend. For 25$ these things are 🔥

Yep. Def was a after decision, but it's cool. After seeing jada in lives etc they are new new. So was them finding their footing and they wanted a all round ryu design and sf4 feilong and went to select screen afterwards. But if we never get the ryu style I like it's cool. I'm fine getting anything of the original sf cast. She'll now I'm thinking about it. Maybe storm doing it prevented them doing it. Idk. Only they would know lol
Yep. Those and the concept arts had the red gloves. I think even fei art looked like this. There's a few art works they could be off of. But not based off the character select as was stated by one of the employees. Which is my thing. That art always been sick to me. Always wanted figures based off that select screen artwork. Hoping someone makes customes

Ryu doesn't bother me at all at least for the price point . Usually SF figures are pricy. I'll definitely get him and most possibly customize him to look like the Play arts Ryu. He needs alot of shading on his flesh and details on his ghee. Can't wait they release "Dee Jay" !! They better include his maracas .
Yea. Ima wait til I find a second one to customize it. And I hope they get everyone out before 2025. I'd be so mad if they don't finish the line. One reason why I hate the 2 or 3 at a time idea. Even 4 sucks. Like hasbro rangers releases.
I believe they will release all of the Super SF era. At least for that version of the game. I collect Jada's Fast Furious cars and there pretty good releasing mostly all of the cars that came out except for two though.😂 As of now watching alot of YT videos and seeing positive comments , it looks like these figure are a success to continue giving us more .😅

Besides been a way too long review, it sounds you're being too harsh on Jada when licencing works a certain way in this industry and is Capcom (or the company owning any IP) the ones that have a final say on designs and characters to be produced. Also asking for Alpha and 3S headsculpts is definitely too much of a request for a retail figure like this.
Check my history, my videos doesn't go long usually. I don't like making them long, but on that same token youtube want longer watch hours. And you'd hate to see my buds channel raz rentals. Lol over a hour for his vids. As for being too harsh nah. Companies can get critical feedback. They are open to it. I think their license deal changed after they started and yes I'm aware of how it works. But if what I'm saying is correct, one of two things will happen. 1 they will redo ryu at least as evil ryu etc with the select head sculpt. Or they will keep this one and call it a day but continue on. As for multiple heads. I mean alternate of what we have. Ryu would be a hair change only and head band color change. I gave the figures 9 out of 10. They are leagues above hasbro right now especially in the ranger department. And I'd say better than storm. Only w storm have over them is the head choice.
