Back in 2004 almost every album leaked 1 or 2 weeks before the release date. Combine that with heavy bootlegging and internet piracy. Then Jada had competition from hip-hop heavyweights like Kanye, 50 Cent, Eminem, Fabolous,, etc. Nobody from the hood bought official albums back then.
