I love all the mixturinhas ❤ but Jade has always been my favorite member, since the X Factor days. I always thought she was more artistic and in all the official videos, live performances, interviews, I couldn't take my eyes off her 😍 for me she meets all the requirements for a successful pop star: talent, personality, charisma, beauty, presence, game waist, man!! Jade always seemed to me to be the most determined in the style she wanted and her influences, in addition to her and her team having market vision, she knew how to create hype, engaged on social media, etc., at the same time, she has a lot of self-knowledge, She knows what the industry expects from her, but she also knows what she wants, and she showed it very well in this song/video! I think the blonde one is not her. The massive music manager 'spots' the innocent Jade busking, and the blonde one is a pop-star being jealous her manager is now giving attention to a new face. Jade gets whisked into fame as she steps into the limo. She gets close to the manager, signs her soul, only to get replaced by another new person, the girl with the red hair.

I think the multiple Jade’s taking over from each other is just basic symbolism for the “new shiny thing” that enters the industry, and the short shelf life of pop acts in comparison to other genres. BUT as a longtime fan who knows the band’s history with their labels/management problems, there’s specific moments too, like red haired Jade sort of swooning over to the big industry guy. It was Jade herself who came out and said their label had suggested they “flirt” with important industry figures at special events in America, basically trying to pimp the girls out, to try and get a leg up on the charts or whatever, which a lot of fans attribute as to why Columbia silently stopped promoting them whenever they’d drop after that. Their labels were also pretty insistent on getting certain members to go solo, it’s pretty crazy how they got 10 years in as Little Mix before they unanimously decided they wanted to go their own ways.
