I think her stamina is not there

I think she was trying super hard to stick that last pass and underrotated a smidge

And the judges wouldn't count the double double as stuck cos she had the two little stutter steps. But defs just a combo of her stamina not being at it's peak and of trying too hard for a perfect landing and then under rotating a bit as a result.

@@ansonpangher stamina from 3 years ago? Sure. But jade has incredible strength and stamina to be able to pull these moves lol

Her movement is robotic: arm waving and posing. I don’t know how many times she has to be butchered by the judges for herself, her coach and her choreographer to realise that FIG does NOT want another robotic routine like hers to ever win the gold medal based solely on D-score, ignoring execution in dance movements and having no artistry….

Her artistry is terrible and this score isn’t that far off of what she scored at worlds last year. Her dance element, especially the gogean was very off, a lot more mistakes than usual

This isn’t a lowball at all, her first two passes have 0.3 deductions, and her Gogean and Switch 1/1 attempts are getting 0.3-0.4 each, her last pass is 0.5, and she’s still getting 0.5 artistry. This is a fair number.

Unfortunately there are plenty of deductions to take. Specifically in artistry and her leaps. And that last pass didn't help, lol.

@@gymcentric5727She wasn’t even getting 0.5 in artistry last year, it was usually 0.3. And the domestic judges hate her so they’re still taking all the artistry deductions they can when this checks every box.

​@@BxyxoxIt is interesting though that she is one of the few (only?) American gymnasts that is consistently scored better by international judges than domestic. It does make me wonder why the domestic judges are so hard on her, even in comparison to the international judges.

I’m not sure that they’re sabotaging her in particular, but I do think that floor judging was very strict in the first two rotations and had become very lenient by the final group on floor! Like Jade’s score is fair if we’re following the COP because she had some more chest positions on landings, lack of split deductions on almost every leap and obviously the last pass, but compared to some scores given out in the last rotation, I think they could’ve gone a tenth or two higher.

Judges are not kind to Gogean attempts. And they are really strict on artistry.

She likely was hit with all artistry deductions. Pretty sure there are 1.5 (ish) in total. Without that it would have been an 8.9 which could be right.

They're always harsh on Jade. There were some nickpicky things in the routine with split positions, precision, and adjustments after landings in the 2nd, 3rd and last pass, but I landed on. -2.2 to -2.4 in deductions..So 13.6- 13.8 seems fair. They may have taken something for feet or leg separations, which I don't think were egregious enough to doc it.But, It felt like a 13.7 just at glance.

I was wondering the same. You can hear gangsters paradise running through it but I don’t know if it’s a remix/mash up or an actual song score from a different movie or something. The 90s R&B fan in me loves it.

It definitely wasnt the best routine of the night. It was good but that last landing was quite rough and she has soft (slightly bent) knees in most of her laid out skills and flexed feet throughout. Theyve also added for this quad more artistry deductions so im sure she loses some there as well. Cuz look at Shilese Jones' routine and her artistry was significantly better, which probably helped her score. Jade's chest is also quite low on most of her landings so thats like 3 tenths each time.

Yeah, no. Stumbled on a landing, artistry still very much lacking….just as much meaningless posing as usual. She needs either dance lessons, acting classes and work on facial and body expressiveness, and her form on all but tumbling needs work, including flexibility and extension in her leaps and dance skills. Her face and body are so rigid and disjointed that it only draws more attention to her weaknesses rather than her strengths. If they could find skills that fulfill requirements, like back-rolls or flairs on beam in place of leaps, floor alternatives applied that she can do well, maybe she’d have a better chance to reduce some of the form, execution, and artistry deductions she’s hammered with. But girl, your face-move it! That’s got to be easier to practice and learn than dance skills. I think honestly that she’s better off focusing as a vault and floor worker and fine tune and improve weaknesses into strengths rather than stretching thin in the AA where beam and bars leave her out of contention for AA, and pull time from the two she could focus and regain greatness in.

I think so, they need to deduct at least another half a point more, lol 😅

COP sec 13.5 artistry deductions, combined with landing issues and other things not credited. Simple.

All of her dance elements were also problematic full of deductions. Plus some extra mistakes in her tumblings….internationally in a world championship or Olympic Games this routine would be deducted even more, at least half a point less, close to almost one
