I do want to know more, but only if you wish to tell us more. I’m intrigued about your inner world and all because although I don’t have DID I do have a world of my own I go to in my dreams or daydreams. It’s extremely well developed, and I’m interested in yours just because no one else has ever related to me in that level. I understand that your world must have a lot of trauma beneath the surface though, so feel free to disregard this comment.
Hey! Based on your comment, I recommend you check out the channel “Silent Souls”. She does videos on maladaptive daydreaming and sounds like you might also have a paracosm (vs an inner world like with DID). I don’t know much about this myself but I find Silent Souls videos very educative and there’s always lots of people in the comments who share how they relate to her experience of maladaptive daydreaming. ☺️

Jade is intimidating but like in a way that makes you respect her. She's not an aggressive bully that attacks you for no reason, she's like a bouncer that will punch you only if you go too far
I agree , but wanna amend the analogy a little - Ruby would do the punching, but by the gods I imagine Jade would give someone the dressing down of their *lives.* Then again, maybe not; thinking more maybe she'd be brutally direct as was required of her in the situation to protect the system, and only dress someone down if they persist in whatever behavior triggered her to front.
I can't even describe how much respect I have for Jade. Her job (and the memories she has access to) sound incredibly difficult and draining, but she carries herself with such poise and control. Her strength of mind and personality is just incredible.

I've always looked up to how wise Jade is. Her presence is very calming to me, maybe not in the way Sally is calming, but calming none the less. I'm very proud of her, and appreciate her doing this video for us. Thank you.
I get what you mean. Sally is calming in the way of making you feel like everything is alright, Jade is more calming in the way of feeling very safe around her
Her voice is so soothing and i feel a sense of stability and safeness when she talks, it's always nice to hear her talking about herself, i could listen her for hours and hours and still, i would be stunned and unable to say anything while she talks
I think it's how blunt she is. You know she wouldn't do anything that she thought was wrong and would not take anyone else doing something she thinks is wrong. That's just what I think though
I love Jade. She can be a little unnerving as she mentioned, but that's only because she's so direct and honest. I love dealing with honest, direct people. You always know where you stand with them.
As someone who always speaks directly, I can tell your that usually, people who are uncomfortable or intimidated by bluntness tend to not be the kind you can rely on. I had to learn how to speak with more tact over time but it can get so exhausting so it's easier to simply not say anything at times.

@@thursdaybrunch9633 yes, so two alters in the system, Nin and Kyle, basically fused into one alter, Kya. My understanding is that, the mental wall between sets of memories (Kyle’s memories, and Nin’s memories) that DID creates to protect the individual is basically broken down so that both alters have both sets of memories, effectively making them one alter. That’s my understanding of it, but I am not an expert.
I have autism, and it's hard for me to understand what people mean sometimes. I appreciate how honest and blunt Jade is. She isn't rude, she isn't sour. She simply tells the truth without sugarcoating it. Thank you, Jade.

Jade is that person who let's two or more people argue while she sits quietly, letting them make themselves look foolish, and then when she finally speaks up everyone including the pets and the birds outside stop in the tracks like 😲😲😳
I absolutely adore how Jade doesn't do anything she doesn't want to. She has such a strong sense of who she is that she won't let anyone push her boundaries.
I imagine being a gatekeeper is hard because one sees so many horrible things happen to other people. It must be hard to not just conclude that the whole world is a terrible place because of all the horrible things you've seen not only happen to yourself but to people you love and then having to think about it constantly. Jade does a really hard job and it's honestly inspiring that she isn't more angry about it.
I love how Jade said "lot's of love everybody" because Nin always dose but Jade's was more like " ugh gotta do that" but with like the tiniest hint of a smile
I wonder how she processes other alters' memories. It must be overwhelming to say the least. No doubt she needs to be less emotional than average. Otherwise it would be an impossible job in the long run. Much respect.

yes, I'd also be curious to know more about memory filing! I didn't think that it would be a role dedicated to an alter. it baffles me as someone without DID, since the process is entirely automatic in my own mind.

Idk how it is for the dissociadid system, but for us we have two gatekeepers and the one who handles memories handles them through books and has a large library that he has access to

I myself don't really understand it because I'm not the one who handles it but from times I've asked our gatekeeper directly (even though it was still very confusing) I was able to kind of understand it as minecraft enchantment books or the goosebumps books which still isn't very accurate. Sorry if that doesn't help ^^ its confusing and complex for me too.
Yes, I would like to hear about what's in the basement and dungeon, what they're for and what goes on in the basement and dungeon, if you are comfortable sharing that with us. I'd be interested to know if the basement/dungeon has levels (Dante's seven circles of hell is the best analogy that comes to me at the moment), and if there are alters that hold memories of singular traumatic events. From past videos they've said that some alters, like Omega, were created as a result of a specific traumatic incidence, but it would be interesting to know if there are some dormant or even imprisoned or "banished" alters who exist only to house a single memory, perhaps one so difficult that the governing alters know it can't come out anytime soon.

@@leighreinhart6185, from what I know of PTSD, the dungeons and basement most likely hold severely traumatic memories that both Ruby the protector and Jade the gatekeeper guard.

Hey jade- genuine question- how do u determine if someone is capable to have a memory? Is it based on history or like how they are currently reacting to the oncoming memory?
I mean, how do you decide how much to tell your parents about your personal life? Thats a pretty hard question to answer, its a complex system of judgement.

In the end itll make them stronger and smarter when dealing with certaing things. While it will cost a bit of money for a lawyer theyll most likely win this case easily and even if they dont and he does get the disclaimer thats going to accomplish literally nothing. Plus they have proof that he said he would work for free and ask for nothing in return so its gonna be hard for him to get anything based on that statement alone. From now on though if they deal with anyone then they need a contract.

I love hearing Jade talk about her role within their system. She's very direct and very much to the point when she's talking. She doesn't like to sugarcoat things and is very honest. I feel we all need someone like Jade.

Every time Jade talks I get choked up. I see the pain in her eyes, she’s seen and experienced some dark things. She deals with so much in the inner world. Nobody could do Jade’s job better than her, she is one of a kind. Theoretically, all neurotypical people would be ABLE to do the job but all of us would suck at it. If our understanding of the psychology is correct, we all subconciously have these roles deep within us, accomplished in the background. But since we have just the one conciousness, we are forced to do every job ourselves. Jade is the definition of "specialized."
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 Yeah, in my understanding we would suck at it as neurotypicals because it would be too much, at least in young years. People with DID get it in childhood because the trauma they experienced in early years are too much for a neurotypical child to handle. So their brain adapts. You get DID to be able to function.
Knowing Jade is still a strong part of the system makes me feel calmer and more stable for the dissociadid system. She is such a consistent and stable and strong part of the system and it makes me feel good knowing she is always there ❤️
She just said she wouldn't do something if she wasn't okay with it. Also, she's not a character, so don't compare her to one, she's a being just as complex as the rest of us, and you haven't even met her, how can you judge whether or not she's being herself or not? Just because she's more logic-driven than emotion-driven doesn't mean she can't "express affection"(for lack of a better term), maybe she struggles to do so.

I'm so sad about everything you had to go through. Your channel has helped me notice my disorder, validate my trauma and recognize how much it has affected me in order to work with it. I'm finally diagnosed and on treatment but big part of it is thanks to the system. I can't speak for their system, but in ours there are two gatekeepers, one who deals with memories and one who deals with fronting and the more emotional side, and the former takes plenty of breaks. The latter doesn't really take any breaks until she kinda just breaks under the pressure and is out of commission for some amount of time after. We're... working on it.

I think it’s kind of sweet that Jade was “raised” by Ruby, and she actually reminds me of Ruby a lot. She has an air or energy that she must have picked up from Ruby and built on from that.

I can see how Jade could be unnerving but I also think if I knew someone like her I would appreciate that directness immensely. When she said: "I can do this, this this and this but I will decide on a case by case basis and I won't make promises." I was like damn I wish people would be that good at communicating more often, it would spare me a lot of anxiety.

I MISS YOU! I was so happy to see you in your recent vid. Kya, it's a privilege to meet you. Nin, Kyle, and the system are stronger together and are a force to reckon with! I personally dealt with lawsuits when I was 21 (probate with my dad's passing that lasted over 5 yrs). It is mentally, emotionally, and financially draining with loads of backstabbing from the ones you least expect from. This is a learning experience that makes us stronger and wiser and helps us understand where we stand in the world. I wish you the best in life and I hope court ends smoothly and quickly in your favor.
