I just started this one though I’m a veteran of many of the prior games. I’d planned on getting it on the switch but forgot cause of life and crap. Ended up getting it on my series X on a whim after I saw it and I’m so sucked into it. Just had 3 liquid metal slimes flee after an eletrolight Jade pep and Eric with Tuemerang and divide pumped up by Sylvano’s “Oomphtl”. One turn away me and my wife screamed when they bolted. All that setup. It hurt but made me laugh in the end. I’m just at the Academy and I still haven’t gotten Hendricks as I love grinding especially for metal slimes. Sitting around level 42. I maxed out the casino, with my wife being a mild slot jockey, I plugged her into the high paying machine with metal slime pulls. It’s been raining heavy for days here. Bored. Perfect for grinding.
There is a quest at the Academie that rewards you with a hair ribbon that gives her MP every turn. It can be duplicated into act 3. With 2 ribbons +3 =12 MP per turn
Jade’s just a powerhouse no matter how you build her. One thing about Sexy Beam is that it also ignores defense and if you build her for charm instead of crit, her “hit all” abilities as well as sexy beam hit like a semi truck. Still though, she competes with Sylvando for charm gear so I like having her on crit duty with hardclaw, especially against low defense targets. Also, late game Sylvando gets ladies first which makes her a beast on boss fights. Any time Sylvando doesn’t have to heal or support he can just give Jade another turn to pulverize the enemy. This works really well with her revamp.
Great video as always. Replaying again after many years…as far as claws vs spears…you mention how much better claws are (example hardclaw is 3.6x damage vs multithrust 3x damage). But aren’t you overlooking this is offset probably entirely by spears being a higher damage output that claws? Lets say default damage for example with spear attack is 100 and with claw its 80, multithrust will hit for 300 vs hardclaw 288
I didn't really use a lot of Jade in my early gameplays when you first get her. I used her more after you gain more of her abilities. I often use abilities of all characters, but due to her low mp, I often switch her out.
Hell no bro. You can get 2 belle's bow and you're golden. Erik has the highest potential dps yes when he is hitting but if you can't land the ailments and follow ups often enough, consistently get off divides without losing turns which is definitely a big problem later on, then jade will do more damage in the long run while being able to heal herself with miracle moon with should not be forgotten about
Just a little tips : Farm Casino token and buy 99 sage elixirs (each recover 90 MP) at Octagonia. Now MP cost is not a big deal anymore. I just spam pink tornado everytime. It can get crit hit too.
Do you feel your characters with seeds to circumvent their weaknesses or do you try to use them more to shore up weaknesses while still keeping the balance intended for their class preserving their strengths and weaknesses?
I usually focus on patching up weaknesses like Jade's MP or Serena's strength. I'll beef up the characters sometimes too just for fun and also to help out against some particularly rough bosses, especially in late act 3.
You'll want to make use of everyone in certain situations but if you really wanna always have Jade in the team then having someone who can cast Oomph/Oomphle on her is essential, or using The Flight Fantastic with Sylvando and Hero. Just everything you have to raise physical damage/lower enemy physical defense. Veronica can do both.
@@rodrigonascimento1800 i ended up beating act 1&2 with them using whips and claws although i switched jade to spears for metal slime grinding. tbf its normal difficulty though. Might change them up for act 3 too.
Hearing about the skill flashback makes me picture Jade as sandman from punch out just staring at her enemy being slack saying boo to scare and throw off the enemy for a hard counter cross up but if the enemy ignores that boo then it's a star critical hit to her. Now I want Little Mac to fight every martial artist because there tales would be so funny.
Just seems way too focused on Hardcore. The game is very well balanced and with being able to use four cgaracters your bases are almost always covered. This game usnt really a 'competitive' game like Pokemon (for lack of a better example), or Smash where numbers and particular skills REALLY can matter. Not everyone is in it for the raw numbers especially with the animations of the atracks and how well balanced the difficulty of the game is. The game is developed and balanced in a way that no matter what choices you make for an individual character, any 'short-comings' can be pretty mich be made up for with other characters and skill. The explainations were exallant. Really good video. Its just my personal opinion that Hardcore was focused on way too much. Why use another skill over Hardcore? For the reasons listed above and for the fun. To see see the flashy animations and all that. Thank you so much for another great skill guide video! ❤️
Newsflash, I do this as a hobby. I have a life outside of all this. I often bulk-record the Fire Emblem videos and have just spent more time on those, because that’s what I’ve chosen to do. While it may have not been your intention to come across as entitled, it certainly feels that way.
