I am a survivor of CSA. Looking at this clip, all other relevant clips, and reading any/all materials about it, I don’t find anything even remotely predatory about Zoe Kravitz’ behavior. Guys. Really? We are canceling Zoe Kravitz over this? (And her equally harmless June 2013 Vanity Fair interview?) As I said above, this is not even remotely predatory and in the absence of any information that she was ever actually inappropriate in any way, which I don’t see anywhere, I think it’s e extremely harmful and damaging to take innocuous remarks and gestures and to trivialize and pervert the notions of predation to twist innocent things and pretend they are creepy. I absolutely believe that 1) the public behavior between Zoe and Jaden was the fullest extent of their relationship and 2) there was nothing creepy about that behavior. Context, nuance, tone. These are important elements to meaning. I see a relationship that is avuncular/maternal and above board. The compliments were totally normal and fine and the physical contact looked innocent and I think it’s problematic AF to assume or claim otherwise.
