The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Geographic (Q1428421) features a 39mm stainless steel case surrounding a silver dial on a brand new black alligator strap with a stainless steel deployant buckle. Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, date, GMT, power reserve indicator and am/pm indicator. This Jaeger-LeCoultre watch also measures 11.9mm in thickness and 46.7mm from lug-to-lug.

@@almeladze the function and form of the watch. Leather band dresses this piece up to make it a cross between sport and dress...just IMHO

Of course. Be VERY careful when buying on ebay, as steel is steel (unless 904l grade). The "replica" bracelets are 100% alike the authentic ones. Go for this JLC! It's a true "sleeper brand", just ready for Chinese, Singaporean & Saudis to rediscover (I know) & drive up price$. I'm getting in now.

Okay, I'm just gonna ask about the elephant in the room: why is there almost 20 mins missing from the bottom? I know you can kinda "guesstimate," but...just...why? I'm so dumbfounded. It kinda really irks me.

Keep one for a couple of decades & you'll be amazed how much it will appreciate in value. Hong Kong resellers are ALL bumping up prices of JLC.

This is gorgeous watch RUINED by those hands... There is almost zero contrast, very hard to read the time in most lightning conditions...

@@INTERNETDWARF well, I don't agree. I don't need all makrers to tell the time, I just need to see the hands in every angle :) I saw this watch in person few times, realy wanted to buy, it is just a incredible timepeace for the money. I love the complication, love the case design, movement, and JLC brand in general. But white dial version simply lacks contrast on the dial. ANd contrast is important for legibility and for overall look I guess. If you want to make good, legible white dial with silver hands you need to make those hands finished to realy high standards. And this is where JLC didn't deliver. Those hands are just averege. So I edend my "hunt for GMT white dial watch" buying Grand Seiko. But there is still black version which looks impresive and you can realy tell the time ;) And that is what I'm looking for right now :)
