Those complaining about the recent price rises and “value” proposition. If you rewind to comments several years ago those in the know regularly commented that they were best bang for buck, great value, perhaps even under priced for the “watch makers, watch maker”. Consequently a grabbed a reverso tribute burgundy in 2019 and never looked back. Those now feeling JLC is over priced are perhaps just observing a brand that has realised it’s worth and are pricing correctly now to reflect that. The brand really is class and the history and competencies are proven and unparalleled in many respects. Great video 😊
Catherine is class. JLC is class. But the price point now is holding many back I feel. Plus their watch designs and logo might benefit from some modernisation. Just my opinion.
They should bring back the Master Compressor line, but I think the logo is fine. Agreed they’ve made a mistake by being so aggressive on the price hikes.
Can’t wait to visit the new JLC boutique at MBS. Last time i visited the MBS, it was under renovation and couldn’t be able to get in. Instead, i purchased a very beautiful Shosho dial Hi Beat GMT Grand Seiko from the MBS Grand Seiko boutique, which was also recently opened. Anyway, i do admire Jaeger-LeCoultre history, craftsmanship, design and their dedication to horology by their impeccable, yet unrivaled and over 1400 movements! There couldn’t be a better phrase in horology world other than “The Manufacturer of the Manufacturers.” for JLC.
