What if the amulet made it so that poison damage heals you instead of damages you. Likewise, the halberd did 20% more damage while you are poisoned instead of their pointless proposed special attack

They should give the halberd a whirlwind spec with aoe that works like dhin spec. It would be much more useful especially if they want us to kill adds while doing the boss. Would find great niche as a slayer task spec and could find nice uses in any boss with adds.
Agree with King on the concept of learning TOB or any mechanic and learning it by the means of most likely to succeed. Halberd is nice as an alternative to those who don’t want to use whips. Just because it’s an alternative way of killing the boss, does not mean it’s the best or even fastest. It’s just option though not the most optimal for creating best habits.
The problem with using that is the same problem society has today, people want a shortcut to everything instead of learning something to correct way. This is why people freak the fuck out when they dont have cell service because nobody learned how to use a fucking map.
The halberd spec change is still sitting weird with me. Poison dmg/venom juggling to get some extra damage just seems a bit blah when defence lowering is usually super important at everything
Upgrade scape isn't as bad as everyone cries about, makes since to do because it keeps value on the lower versions of it. Thinks like arma would be useless/free if masouri didnt upgrade from it
People cry about anything. Most criers don't even know that when osrs first released it sucked balls bc there was literally nothing to do. After 3 months you did everything and all that was left was to sit at varrock square or grind using the ridiculously outdated barebones methods that rs2 had.

tbh crafting and smithing need major reworks, they are so useless to the average player and the requirement of 90+ skills just to make mostly early and mid game stuff is insane.
Just got 80 craft on my iron for a glory. Good ol power ammy took me all the way to QPC. They could definitely drop the p2p reqs by 10 levels on each gem/item. Keep f2p stuff same requirement (i guess like smithing and rune items?). Idk, but i think mining, smithing, and crafting all need a requirement rework for p2p gear. It’s not 2006 anymore.
Learning to use scythe and do the scythe walk and scythe p2 verzik takes like 3-5 kc… tob is easy. The halberd would just be fun to use, but shadow is still bis dps.
14:25 if you attack with halberds from more than 2 tiles away you will be dragged into melee range anyway so it truly defeats the purpose of using this on verzik, true bait item that sounds good on paper
if you attack from 4 tiles away, you'll get dragged to 2 tiles away to melee if you're running, so it still works for verzik if people are just aware of their distance from the boss
Something people ignore about the 93 crafting grind is that rune used to be BIS and has a ridiculous crafting requirement, but there are MANY better options in the game now that are far easier to get than crafting your own rune. Don't know if that's a fair comparison but it seems to be.
Halberd is not that good, still worse than blade, gets worse as your other gear gets better. Based off of spec, it seems they want it to be bis at Arraxor, bc of venom mechanics
Yeah, I thought the same thing. I voted no for them to add the boots, in a recent poll. There is ZERO percent chance people are willing to bring a boot swap, just for webs. I’ve not done Spindle/Ven, but as someone with over 1k KC on Sarachnis, the webs in the fight aren’t even a problem. Bonus not-a-problem-points if you use Ring of Stone, which breaks the web freeze, and lets you go back to running. It’s likely Jagex’ll patch the RoS glitch, if these boots pass poll, which, I pray they don’t.
Why not make the amulet an attachment to the torture amulet instead of crafting a separate amulet all together. You could make it attachable to other amulets like fury / blood fury but at a reduce stat bonus so it’s not better than a torture
They really should just have it drop already made just like the occult. That way it doesn't effect the crafting lvl for tortures. Or like you said just Smith it
While I do think learning verzik with hally is kind of stupid, in the last leagues, I used Crystal Hally until I got full Dharoks, and it was very chill. I get why people would want to use it.
I did my pre-100cb entry tob. Exactly *one.* I would honestly rather learn to avoid the bounce than just ignore it. Would avoiding it be easier? Yes. Would it make it more fun? Honestly, yeah, with how ping makes ticks a bitch. But frankly, there is ALWAYS going to be a time where you're gonna be in the oh-shit situation and doing shit properly is the only way to avoid hitting the floor. Don't be a dumbass.
The reason players don't want level requirements being lowered and whatnot is because players don't want to feel like they wasted their time and gp. It takes some players years to reach certain high level milestones due to a multitude of reasons, so if suddenly the level requirement is lowered or a much easier and faster method is introduced the players feel like they just wasted potentially hundreds of hours/millions of gp. I totally understand the pain of going through those grinds and suddenly an update comes along to make things easier, since I had just spent what felt like weeks getting the full Prospector outfit in the bottom level of the Motherload Mines when suddenly less than a week later they announced I only needed one piece for the diary. But while I understand the pain, players mindsets shouldn't be "I had to suffer, so everyone else has to suffer, too". They should be in the mindset of "I had to suffer, I hope Jagex changes things so others don't have to suffer, too".
@@l0lan00b3 Agreed, but to be honest I definitely get it. It can take well over 100 hours to level some skills to 85+ and that's if you are paying close attention as to not lose any exp per hour. If you think fishing is boring but you know you gotta spend 100 hours on it for an Elite Diary without having to do the try hard methods for faster exp, you'll feel miserable the entire time since you would much rather be doing the fun stuff instead.
the amount of people coping in chat about not getting bounced at verz by using hally is better hurts my brain, it isn't rocket science to get into cycle people will put in 10x more effort to avoid learning a mechanic rather than just learning it which is insane to me literally just do like 5 entry modes and practice you'll be fine. plus hally is gonna basically be a 5 tick salad blade or tent whip it isn't gonna hit multiple times, so not only is the venny in 416 in void and a tent whip gonna do more dps than you and pull more purples but now you've found a way to be more useless than the dude who doesn't speak english doing literally the bare minimum bravo
What's with having to get hit by venom bs, just do like a 5-10% damage against spiders so it's useful. Also blood fury will be hard to beat. I don't think it's enough for the amulet.
It might be useful to bring the halberd if it saves an inv slot since you don’t need a defender. I mean, not ideal for top DPS but great for noobs that need another brew
OK so i got a question it says mains need to have the crafting level to make it and its untradable then why does it say at the end but if your a main you can just buy off the ge ? so noone needs the slayer level required or anything to get the untradeable just buy it .... its kinda lame to be fair i think keeping the torture in the loop is smart but mains shouldnt just be able to buy it ( for context ima max main as well )
You've misread it slightly. If you want to craft the amulet, you need to earn the drop and have minimum 80 crafting (if you bought the torture) or 98 crafting (for crafting the torture too). If you do not want to craft it then you can buy the amulet outright. Both torture and rancor are tradable, but the drop needed upgrade one to the other isn't

Definitely not a sub for p2 verzik but I think it would be good to bring alongside a tent whip. Should outperform whip at everywhere but xarpus and verzik p2 (sote you'll just have to walk into melee range manually)
Giving a learner one less mechanic to focus on during Verzik is not a bad thing lol. Now if you do 150 KC without ever trying to learn the step back I can hear you, but for the most part using the scythe is not going to make you shit at Verzik lol
It's crazy how long you had to explain to people that avoiding a raid mechanic is bad, and they argued against it for soooo long. I've got 2 or 3 tob kc and I can already do p2 verzik with no bounces, it's fucking easy, why skip that mechanic just to create a bad habit you'll have to break later.
I think you're missing the point with the halberd. It makes some mechanics easier and adds a bridge to learning the content the same as anything else. Learning the 4 tick verzik step back and xarpis walk is totally different than learning it with 5 tick weapons. People don't start off webwalking, you progress to it. You don't start off pogtanking, you work up to it. Its also the same dps as saeldor and 5 tick so you can at least get used to using a 5 tick weapon. Outside of the soulreaper which is pretty unfriendly being at 50hp the whole raid this is the next step below a scythe for irons.
Hi Condor, I think the stats on the hally should be lowered. Reason being, Crystal hally is already Niche, and has its uses. This noxious halberd provides venom damage, AND had higher stats than a crystal halberd. The strength bonus stats should be bumped down a bit to just under the crystal hally while leaving the accuracy alone. That would make it slightly better dps than crystal halberd with the opponent being venomed, and honestly if its 5str bonus less with all that accuracy even without venom it might barely out dps the crystal. The gap should be smaller!!!!

Idk how you have an idea that learning this mechanic later on with scythe with knowing perfect rest of Tob and verzik is not worth anything and at this point I don't even care. It's not like people consider tob one of the hardest contents in the game and delaying one mechanic to learn later on is not viable. It's not like most people start zammy grind with arclight and later on learn 5:0 and harder methods with experience. Stubborn and argumentative.

This game is driven by the elitist community. The ones who don't go to work every day, and get to play the game 24/7. Makes it near impossible for a lot of us to grind any item out in the game, while these basement dwellers add to their collection of them. It is what it is though. No sense in crying too much about it lol

The halberd spec makes so little sense to me. When in the flying fuckity would u ever use that? its effect aint even strong enough to be worth using. At the very least we should have something that allows u to venom urself at a higher start so u can use this more effectively. But all together the actual effect you get from the venom thing shouldn't be a minimum hit...? seems super underwhelming for the amount of damage you take doing this. It should like lower the opponents stats based on x times the venom damage or heal yourself a big amount in hp+prayer or SOMETHING that'd make u go "oh ye i could use this" U doing a long zulrah trip, you outta anti venoms. U let that shit stack to 14's, you're out of food and close to dying, then u bop a little scythe spec to regain like 14x3 hitpoints to heal back up some and heal the venom. Even then you may as well just use the thing earlier and get rid if while it hits 6's but still. Tryna think of anything more useful than what they proposing at this point... edit; additional idea: what if it didn't cure anything at all but instead the special attack increases all poison/venom damage for x amount of time but during that time your damage gets increased by x amount as well. So you trade off taking a lot of damage for dealing more damage. That's the kinda stuff that could be fun to fuck around with
Hard mode tob, higher level toa's for some, nex, even large scale solo cox/ solo no prep cm cox, phosani nightmare, plenty of end game places where it really does make a big difference, especially for CAs, coll and melee inferno too
