thank you so much for this, I've been watching b0aty and I work full time, I had no idea how any of the items work and why people were like collecting certain drops, but you have explained :)
That drop mechanic for the Vestiges is terrible lol. "If you're not due to get the drop you get something not on the drop table until you are due"... so you have to roll the drop table 3x just to get a fkn drop, and you don't even know when you roll that table unless you get an actual drop
How exactly does this prevebt dry streaks? Still looking for a hero to explain this because this is exactly like the bludgeon you just see its parts unlike here and it makes no difference at all you can get 2 bludgeon pieces or 2 rolls in 10kc and then not get the final one until 10k. It makes no tangible difference.
But it's not. It has proven that it's not working as intended. We should be seeing way more rings in the game already since so many people are killing it.
@QuizClam wtf are you on about? Do you assume the drop rate is like 1/50? Most players don't even have the quest done and the ones that do barely have any kc at all. I've been grinding Duke nonstop almost and I'm only at 200kc. If it's intended to be a borderline gaurentee drop at what ever the rate is then it will take some time to get the rings but they'll start to flow in quickly at around the same time
Can't lie they've hit the difficulty pretty well. It's extremely punishing until you learn the mechanics properly. There is absolutely no brute forcing these bosses, I'd say only the duke boss is stupidly easy. Can't imagine how hard the awakened is gonna be
@@Roachehh I mean Duke is easier yea, but keep in mind that most/all people being showcased are using literal BIS gear on (post) quest bosses that require like 75 magic and recommend 100 combat. Curtis (Mmorpg) was doing a Leviathan kill with the gear he has on his hardcore (which already has an anguish etc) and it was ruby procs or bust
I am so confused on where JAGEX are getting their math from as to why 3*1/100 is better than 1/300 or whatever the drop chance is. Because getting 3 hits of 1% probability in 300 trials is 57.79%. But, getting 1 hit with 0.33% probability in 300 trials is 63.27%. They are literally decreasing our chances of getting the drop and saying it will make people go less dry?
I guess it only matters if you go REALLY dry. Probability of 3 hits in 900 trials of 1% is 99.39%. And, probability of 1 hit in 900 trials of 0.33% is 95%. So in 900 kills we have a slightly more guaranteed drop. But it also decreases our spoon.
Just wanna put it out there if youre teleing out of vardorvis with a bleed you should tele to your house, cause when you die you just spawn outside the portal without losing your shit
Boaty should've tele'd to POH LOL, its good to set that left click option to the teleport options on whatever item so you dont need to right click on said teleport item that's being worn.
i dont mind minimal loot outside of big ticket items, but with 400k gravestone fees the stuff they drop feels like a joke. i got 42 bronze javelins at vardy today. god willing it turns around in the coming days and the rings start coming in because it's genuinely seeming easy to run up 20m+ in costs for supplies and deaths before even seeing anything that would remotely recoup the time and gp input
My hypothesis is that the vestiges have a progressive drop rate based on kill count: the more kills you have, the higher the rate (to a certain extent). If so, that would be an interesting move to combat RNG/dryness.
No, if you hit the vestige roll 3 times you will. Its not like if you get 2 virtus pieces you next item is gonna be vestige piece. Lets say vestige pieces are a 1/200 rate. This means you have to hit that 1/200 vestige roll 3 times. Meaning the average rate you would get a ring upgrade is 1/600. This goes both ways for players that go dry or get super spooned. We just saw a clip of a player getting it at 25 kc. Meaning in those other 24 kc he rolled the vestige piece twice. But instead of getting 3 pieces he got 2 normal loot rolls and 1 vestige piece. That is super Lucky.
@@shroomjak200 At the moment we do not. First we do not know the rates of items on the droptable. So calculating the rolls you may have gotten is not possible(in 2 weeks that would be the case tho). Secondly i would personally like to see some sort of chat message displaying that you hit the roll. "You feel some different aura from your loot" or something like that.
And a personal note here, i think drop systems like these for solo bosses are great. Take for example Hydra, do you know how many players went x times to rate for a bis raid weapon at the time. Going 8 times the rate on a 1/600 drop versus going 8 times the rate on a 1/200. Now you may think well if all 3 rolls go 8 times the rate wouldnt that have the same outcome? Yes it would, but the amount of players going that dry would be way and way lower. Yes the Likely hood of you spooning a drop is also way and way lower but for this item, that might be for the best.
So here is why the vestige drop mechanics make no sense. They say it’s to stop people from going too dry. So to stop people from going over rate on the vestiges, you’re making them have to hit the roll THREE TIMES, so that on the fourth roll of the vestige that finally get it. HOW exactly is that helping anyone not go dry? Say the vestige drop rate is 1/200. You can still go 500 kills dry without even hitting the vestige roll and you would never know, except now you gotta roll it 2 more times before you’re even eligible for the vestige? It seems to me that this would just make the item stupid rare for absolutely everyone. The fact that we’ve seen more pets from these bosses than rings is kinda telling that there is something wrong with the drop mechanics.
2:35 this should be available to everyone day one from Jagex. They expect the community to do their job for them. They already know someone will add it to RuneLite so why not add it or just ban it?
I am damn destroyed at the moment. In a gesture of good will I loaned around 400mil (I liquidated nearly every item) for my IRL friend so he can do DT2, I could wait to do the bosses, now he cannot be located, he doesn't answer the door, phone, he has chanced he's normal hanging places... Friend of 5 years, decimated our relationship and 2 years of grinding... I don't know how to start again. I have 2 days to grind a bond or I have to pay Jagex and in this economy, it's a lot of food off my table, so I think this is the end.
"I have 2 days to grind a bond or I have to pay Jagex and in this economy, it's a lot of food off my table, so I think this is the end." If this is really where you are at or even close to it, then you need to really rethink your priorities and how you got to this point in your life.
Yo Alfie, homie take metal spoon out it in the fridge for 10mins than gently pat your eyes w it. The circles are make it look like you got two holes in your face 😂😂😂
The rolling the drop table 3 times is stupid af , the fact of it defaulting to a normal reward instead of another unique is stupid af and the fact of even comparing it to the venator bow that requires more than one piece to build is also stupid af, the ring piece is one item not 5 so you shouldn’t have to roll more than once to actually get it never mind having to hit it 3 times (which essentially cubes the drop rate) , I genuinely don’t know how anyone could of made these decisions and was like “yeah this is great, the players will love this” , just make the drop rate rarer if you want to make it rarer , don’t just add arbitrary bs
It has nothing to do with making the drops rarer. It’s to stop people from going super dry. Think of the people with 1200 Cgs and no bowfa. I also think it’s stupid but it’s not to make things rarer.
@@esotericknives2624don’t blame the devs because you play too much simple as that. They finish new content within a couple weeks what are the devs supposed to do add high end activities and loot every month and say fuck the rest of the player base?
@@yrdstrgj9653 Infernal, TOA and Nex are avaible for all players, difference is that they provide longevity in which better players can master. Content specifically big game updates should cater to all demograhics.
Seeing how many kills of the new bosses people already have is very sad. Like do people have lives anymore? Also how is adding bosses that require abusing issues with the game mechanics considered content?
Hope you don't mean the people who's literal job is to play the game. Even if it isn't, it shouldn't be sad that people spend time on things that they enjoy.
It’s hard to describe how much I hate that they are trying out the guaranteed drop BS. Really is a new era for OSRS. Please stop catering to the irons with this guaranteed drop BS. Let the dry and spoon era live on.
The drop mechanic is literally fucking pointless Instead of rolling 1 1/512 drop, im rolling 3, 1/170 drops. Its totally different to the Venator bow.. which GIVES YOU PROGRESSION. "I have a shard. I hae 2 shards." Instead of being ONE 1/500 drop, its 5, 1/100 drops.. Nothing changes.
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK. As he was explaining it, I was like the 2 other times you hit the drop table mean literally nothing. The only thing that matters is that you hit it a "third" time. You get nothing for the first 2 times except standard drops so you don't actually hit a drop table at all tbh. It is so stupid...
dt2 seems like a big ole flop. im not gonna rush to complete it on my main. kill a big fat toothy vagina thing for mist runes after questing for hours upon hours? no thank you lol
That sandwich lady troll was a nice tribute to the original quest that also had a jumpscare. Also it's hilarious that people are upset about not being spooned a new ring day of release
