Completely and in all ways the best game ever.

The fanbase made it live way past its date and time. And it is stil one of the best game to be ever made. Shame the "Spinoff" was so bad I am very sad that there's not going to be another JA game ;(

hi Nick! yeah man I'm a huge fan of Silent Storm too, and I still have it and Sentinels on my Steam account. I think I should play it again. the destructible terrain and physics is amazing. I haven't tried 7.62 so I'll check it out. thanks!

Yep it's gameplay beats everything else out there for Tactical Turn Based Shooters. Nothing even comes close, even modern XCOM games are very shallow in Comparison.

Простофиля ТВ Тактика в 7.62 действительно шикарная, при правильной настройке очень реалистичная игра. Но она не так затягивает как Джага..., стратегии нема, озвучки очень мало, из-за этого персонажи плохо запоминающиеся. Был-бы в 7.62 отличный мир и персонажи со стратегической картой из Джаги...

zombies are totally pointless in Jagged Alliance. It would drag the gameplay down so much! They already have the equivalent anyway in BloodCats. Those things are badass, fast and lethal. Zombies would just be a slow bore unless they rose from the dead after you killed them maybe.

is a common bug since 1.0 in some circumstances. just ignore it. But its a hint to a bad hit chance.

The problem is with windows 8, it's known problem and doesn't have 100% solution. Did you try the "Windows 8 Fix.zip" from Docs directory? Another windows 8 magic: "make a new .reg file with notepad with the following content: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers] "C:\\games\\ja2\\ja2.exe"="~ DWM8And16BitMitigation Layer_ForceDirectDrawEmulation 8And16BitAggregateBlts" Note: change the path to your ja2 installation. Run .reg file and apply changes. Disable intro. Alexander Seven Oh thanks anyways, but I downloaded some magical little file and put it to the game root directory, now it works just fine, and amazingly fast as I had gotten used to the old snail speed :)

It's really hard to get used to the lack of various abilities in Vanilla, like using keyboard for almost everything. You can set up JA2 1.13 to be basically vanilla (i.e. old traits, tanks not moving around, etc.) - but I disagree that vanilla was better.

Vanilla is better for the sake of its intended gamey flavor. but 1.13 has transcend that and is pretty much a simulator on its current level.

BishoP, это не мод, а патч 1.13 для оригинальной "Jagged Alliance 2". В интернете можно легко найти сборку сразу с этой версией и заодно со вшитыми дополнительными кампаниями (модами). Зомби включаются/отключаются в настройках, т.е. вне зависимости от выбранного режима игры.

Был отдельный зомби-мод на 1.13, который заменял ВСЕХ солдат Дейдранны на зомби изначально. Но он устарел. В оригинале 1.13 зомби-фича не так эффектна.

Denis G, не слышал о таком ранее. Теперь буду знать. Собственно, у меня лично далеко не последний билд 1.13 стоит, авось, даже для этого мода пойдёт...
