Definitely considering the fact that Piers actually has a history of never backing down or backtracking his position. So the fact that he did it in this case here definitely meant that somewhere in the background somebody had some extra clout and I don't think it was just a simple threat from an attorney cuz Piers has stood up to more powerful individuals than just a couple mirror attorneys, he's not that type of person to back down but for some reason in this instance he sure as heck did. Matter of fact he backed down so fast he issued that retraction in probably less than 11 hours despite the time difference between there and over here. That's very telling in and of itself.

I don’t think he did throw her under the bus. He said in a later video “jay z and Beyoncé said that if we didn’t remove the information, they would take legal action and though jaguar said she has proof, we had no way to verify what jaguar was saying so we had to remove it,” but the context of what he was saying made me think he believed her plus he let her talk which he doesn’t do. They’re not coming after her because they know she has proof, they went after piers Morgan for giving her a platform. Jaguar gets that, she said it since.

Suing or warning the hosting platform, ie 'uncensored ' sends out a message to all other platforms of what will happen to them if they host jaguar. But in this case, that tactic backfired as the clips of her talking about jay z and beyonce have been incorporated into every youtube video about diddy now.
From an outsider's perspective and I could be wrong, but I think the whole thing is a masterstroke. They responded because by Jaguar being on Piers' show, she "legitimised" her claims to a whole new audience. Millions had already seen the interview, so apology or not, removal or not, that damage control is not really working because now what might have slipped into the cracks is now a huge discussion. This is incorrect. He only distance himself from LEGAL repercussions and still believes in Jaguar’s allegations. Since he’s a public TV host, he’s not allowed to publicly side with anyone because he will sued until oblivion. He has publicly condemn Diddy’s doing and has made many videos already with other hosts but because there is factual evidence so he can’t get sued for that one.
