Jaguar Wright: Why Is She Telling Everyone's Business?

I was listening to one of her many videos, she said that , since her son has gotten murdered she don’t even care anymore and she’s not afraid either because she’s already dead too . So sad, because this lady can sing.

She’ll probably tell my business and I don’t even know her!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I've been waiting on someone to say it. She do too GOT DAMN MUCH. Others people's stories and truths aren't yours to tell!

People need to THINK Is it true? Is it helpful? Is it inspiring ? Is it necessary ? Is it kind? BEFORE speak

Thank you for calling this out. 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 I’ve been highly disturbed by Jaguar’s behavior. I agree that those stories are not hers to tell. We as an audience need to think about how we would feel to be the target of such vitriol. It’s not right. She needs to go to therapy and heal!

I watched a few of her interviews. I commented that she comes off jaded. For those of us who work W2 jobs, we've experienced being under appreciated, perhaps disrespected, and underpaid at some point. It sucks. But, none of us get to to tell office gossip because we're upset. She spoke about Mr. Andre Harrell who is no longer with us. That wasn't fair. Unfortunately, people ate up the reckless gossip. Some people are attracted to negativity, "mess." It's dysfunctional and unhealthy.

What I specifically didn't like is what she did to Tevin Campbell. She was dead wrong for that.

You’re the only one who took a holistic approach when addressing Jaguars videos and did it eloquently and unbiased. 🥰 Love it!

It's the re-traumatizing other victims for me. She comes across as slightly deranged...she has not healed...at all.

If Jag wasn't so all over the place, she couldda got with that Tyler Perry & did some soundtracks for his redundant ass movies & shit. JS, her voice is a gift & she couldda still been utilizing it.

I feel like all of these bloggers saying that she shouldn't be telling people business, needs to eat those same words too.

No Dineva, bloggers/vloggers do not JUST report on what’s already out there. There’s this thing called exclusives where you and other vloggers/bloggers have had plenty of. Yeah you can say that some of your exclusives have had rumbles in the streets prior, but it could be that your exclusive is what brings those rumbles to the masses. Some of the things Jaguar said could’ve been rumbling in the music streets and we the people just ain’t know nothing about it til she revealed it. So sorry to tell you but it is the same and it’s the reason why I don’t rock with a lot of blogs and one of the reasons the bloggers themselves start to change the direction of their content. It’s ALL telling people’s business!!

I agree with all of this HOWEVER, "I want my singers to be singers" sounds like, "Shut up and dribble".

It’s honestly amazing that vloggers such as yourself, are doing the same thing she’s doing but she’s not doing for a check, so she’s wrong? Y’all report on everyone’s business for payment as if that makes it any better. Sometimes you get tired of seeing people get over on and scam the WORLD and continually get praised and paid for it.

I agree 100% with everything you said. Her lashing out at everyone, telling what she knows, what she might know...is not helping her. She needs love and obviously what she felt she got was rejection. I hope she can find peace somewhere within herself.

RU-vidrs, tabloid magazines, TMZ, etc, have been telling other people's business and not letting those people tell their own stories for years. But it is a problem because Jaguar is doing the same thing they have been doing for years?

I think it all started when the founder of The Roots passed and she felt that he didn’t get his proper respect from the group and that the main front men were being fake about his passing. She not only went after Common but she went after Black Thought and Questlove first...

She has a diagnosis in one of her interviews she disclosed that she’s in theraphy I’m not sure if she’s taking medications.

Jaguar started telling folks business when an ex member of the roots died and she felt The Roots didn’t pay enough homage for her liking.

Trauma doesn’t have a schedule. It will rear its ugly head when it wants to. The question, “Why now?” is dismissive. There was a thread a couple years back and that start of the Me too movement where people were coming forward and had held their stories for over 20 years.

I totally agree with you Dineva. She has every right to talk about her personal experiences of abuse. But for her to be putting everyone else's business in the streets in this way. I have zero respect for what she is doing. It's so ugly what she is doing. I think she is a very bitter woman who is looking for attention at the expensive of others. This is horrible. So scathing and malicious!!! And I don't how much of it that I believe anyway.

She has always been throwed off. I can remember going to the black Lilly at the 5 spot in Philly in early 2000's A place where the neo soul artists would perform . She would always cause problems. I think what started all this was Malik B of The Roots died. Jaguar Wright said he was done wrong by the group. He was one of the few people who reached out when her son died.

Her son was killed, and was not given the respect from the roots, they did not call or come to her son's funeral, plus the death of Malik B, the others were collateral damage for coming in her DMs telling her to stop talking

I think some people are too concerned with sipping tea to truly understand why others may not be here for what Jaguar's doing. I think people are so interested in hearing the gossip that they don't understand the issue in what she's doing. Revealing the sexual abuse and assault of another person is NEVER okay. Unless you're using what you claim to know to help put those criminals behind bars for traumatizing their victims, then that should be off-limits. If she's not doing that, then I don't see how she's supposedly doing something good. Revealing someone else's trauma without any plans to help them get justice just makes you look bad. I don't care who disagrees with that but it is what it is. And if you really know something, go to the police. Use what you know to seek justice. Otherwise, you're just doing it to keep the spotlight on you because you haven't been relevant in years. No one knows what uphill battle people are going through in order to deal with sexual trauma, and that is NONE of our business. You're forcing people to go through the entire ordeal again and in the public eye. How is that right? How is that fair? Jaguar can tell HER story, but she has no right to tell anyone else's story, especially in regards to something like that. People just want to sip tea and they don't want her to stop because they don't really care how that's psychologically affecting the people who now have to deal with the conflicting emotions of complete strangers knowing about their own personal, private trauma while reliving what happened to them because some random person decided to tell the world about it. Any gossiper who reports on something as disgusting as that is just as bad as her. The fact that people want to equate a gossiper reporting on some celebrity getting caught cheating on their spouse to some has-been revealing the sexual abuse/assault of another person blows my mind; that is NOT the same thing at all. That is asinine.

If Im not mistaken what triggered her was the death of Malak Black from the Roots and how great he was as a person in helping to get the Roots and Neo-soul where it is and when he died there was hardly any recognition from ALL that knew and grew from him it was swept by. Also, her son died due to gun violence and hardly any of those she has put on blast reached out to her to offer their condolences especially when they knew her son, some of their kids played with her son back when they used to tour. She is hurt and she is using this as a form of therapy it's sad. Jaguar wasn't just the "Song Cry" singer, she also sang on that popular song from Best Man and sung backup for the roots

She is still struggling with the murder of her son. I don’t believe she has a chemical imbalance organically but I do believe she is unable to cope with his murder and that is affecting her mental stability.

I keep seeing her pop up and I can't watch a full vid because it vexes my spirit. Her vids scream bitter and broken little Black girl crying out for help. It feels like she wants everyone to hurt as much as she's hurting. She doesn't need views and affirmation on social media, she needs healing. I pray some elder, healer, or counselor reaches out to her to help her heal and grow.

The death of Malik B prompted her to speak out. She felt as though the NeoSoul folks failed to recognize his contributions. She warned them in advance about what she was going to do if they didn't stand up for Malik B. Also, if it's the TRUTH...she should shout it out from the mountain tops. Even if she is bitter, does it mean that she can't tell her truth....even if it involves your favorite celebrities? You can't heal what you don't acknowledge. Keep speaking your truth Jaguar!!!!

Dineva, you made a lot of great points. I believe that Jaguar was compelled by the loss of her good friend, Malik B, to free herself. She’s been through so much. She’s so talented and I want to see her win and move forward in her life and be well. But she may be uncovering some Hollywood/high level inner workings of show business.
